I was there, pulling for Billie Lott. Not meant to be. Maybe 13 years old or so wrapped up in blankets but still freezing cold.

I was there, in Tiger Band. I remember the bear, but not the Dr Pepper. I also remember it being SO cold.

Is that the old Fulton County Stadium? Are they in the dugout? Interesting.

It was cold that night. I remember as a kid getting back to the motel after the game and my dad sending me down to the lobby to get him a coke to mix with his last little bit of bourbon that he had left over from earlier before the game. I went to the coke machine and it was broke. I went back to the room to tell dad. He sent me to the convenience store next to the motel to get one and while I was walking out the room there was a breaking news report about another child missing in the Atlanta area( time the kids were missing). Needless to say he drank it without a chaser.

I was there. I don’t remember it being that cold. Not saying it wasn’t. Just don’t remember. I was in 11th grade. Too young to care I guess. ??

... not properly dressed.
When folks left for Atlanta it was nice and the forecast said nothing about how fast the cold front was coming in from the west.
Fans were dressed in relatively light clothing and weren’t prepared for the breeze and the wind.
Wind chill factor was probably high 30s, but felt much worse!
It was colder up at Wake Forest in 2016.

Coldest game ever and the wind was whipping through the portals at Fulton County Stadium.
I remember at the end Billy Lott was flagged for intentional grounding when the threw the ball out of bounds to stop the clock. What a miserable day!

Yep, it was very cold and windy that day. Our players got a little psyched out when their bear mascot came by.
