good teams makes no sense to me.
Why do we need cupcakes on our schedule? There are enough cupcakes in league so I see no reason why adding a 9th conference game should change what we do with other big name OOC programs. Just line up, and play.

There is nothing to not make sense. The 9th conference game represents a locked in home and home for the foreseeable future. Home game ticket sales bring in $2-$4 million per game not counting ancillary income (merchandise, concessions, parking, etc...). This means we have two "permanent" home and home series. There is no more room on the schedule for any other home and home series and still be assured of 7 home games per year. If you want to question something, question the ACC and the 9 game schedule. CU is operating in its best interest on this one.
Also, keep in mind, whoever extra we draw from the ACC in 2019 may well be a better draw than Ok State. We haven't had a lot of luck with our bigger name out of conference opponents being very highly regarded when we play them.

All we heard last year was that Auburn wasn't nearly as good after losing so much talent from the championship season.

with another home-home on top of the 9 game conference schedule, we would have 1 less home game every other year compared to playing the central michigans and ball states of the country (which is always at home). more money.
that, and makes it easier to go undefeated.

How much easier do you need playing in the ACC?

in the future? In 2019 OK State might go 3-9. There is no way of knowing if they will be good then. I hope the ACC goes back to 8 games but only time will tell.

I guess since most think that "it has always been that way", that there's no way that we would ever stop playing the chickens. Remember that we are in different conferences, and conferences seem to be going towards playing more conference games, and then cupcakes OOC. SUC could easily say that they prefer to have a shot at a Top 10 ranking some year if they didn't have to play CLEMSON and get stomped. If you're too arrogant to see that as a possibility, then so be it.
To be honest, we might have beaten GT for the ACCCG if we had not played the chickens, but played some cupcake OOC team. And they might not have had their butts handed to them by Auburn in the SECCG if they didn't have to deal with us. Sorry if you can't see that.
