Standing by for the bevy of posts talking about what a chithead Steve Hilton is. Let's just preempt that and assume the message is coming from a liberal hero, like Obama or Oprah. Take in the words, not the messenger.

So don't deflect the message and change the topic.

The libs were trained that everything out of Trump's mouth was a lie, but when it turns out that real lies are constantly created and stated over and over, there is bi-partisan recognition of what is going on.

If Dems weren't able to LIE (and deflect/ mislead/ make up chit) continuously, they would be extinct as a party! It's in their DNA; it's what they do best.

I keep telling you, the GOP should embrace immigration. 1st generation immigrants are natural supporters of the GOP. This is one area Trump improved in in 2020.

We already have that. And have been lowering the cap and making the process harder.

And as a country we are creating jobs quicker than people to fill them. We are shooting ourselves in the foot just to appease some weird nationalism mantra.

I thought this thread was on lying and this is the biggest whopper I’ve ever read

“ as Trump tried to get them to do. He tried to give the Dreamers the best deal ever and get comprehensive immigration reform just in exchange for some border wall money and the Dems refused,”

1) he sunk a bipartisan bill for this because it didn’t give him the $8b for the wall

2) the bill he supported was voted down by 14 GOP senators in the senate. Not exactly the dems undermining him yes?

3) you fail to mention that this may have helped some dreamers yes, but it also curtailed legal immigration significantly.

I mean you can’t sit here and honestly argue Trump was pro expanding legal immigration. It’s just not true.

Re: The Lying is an Issue

Trump, who tried to end DACA in 2017, then shot down the agreement made by congress, then pulled back again and put forward a deal which

1) referenced “#### hole countries”
2) asked for $25b for a wall (not a small sum)
3) end visa lottery
4) severely curtail family immigration

So no this wasn’t the best DACA deal ever. Obama had the best and Trump tried to end it and then kinda of offer it back to no avail

Listen I don’t intend to argue on immigration with you. But again you can’t say with a straight face trump offered great policies on true legal immigration. He did nothing to improve it. He only went to shut it off.

Actually, compared to Sniffy Joe's handler's proposals, $25B is chump change.

Best deal ever? No. Best deal Trump was going to offer? Sure***

Like I said, possibly best deal he was going to offer for the Dreamers.

Jan 16, 2022, 6:25 PM

Dems wanted a permanent solution for them. He offered a temporary one, not the “best deal ever.”

Another example popping up in real time.

This synagogue terrorist. For goodness sakes, how stupid does the FBI think we are? Or how stupid are they? Is it lying or incompetence?

The guy took a synagogue hostage to try to get a notoriously anti-Semitic terrorist released from the prison down the road. But, the crack team at the FBI determines this is not related to the Jewish community. Wut?

This wreaks of the "workplace violence" designation by the FBI when they knew the Ft Hood perpetrator (Hasan) was an extremist radical and had been watching him.

Seriously, this chit is a big problem. I have zero trust in almost all government orgs/agencies, especially with Biden appointees calling the shots.

Technically they’re right. It wasn’t related to Jews. It was a hostage situation to get a pro Islamic state terrorist released.

But not sure why they would make this statement. It doesn’t really serve much of anything to do so.

See quote below from the FBI. It’s very precise, in assuming, the individual was specifically focused on getting this woman released. And not specifically focused on an attack on Jews in general.

As I said above, TECHNICALLY this may be right but it serves very little good in taking this stand.

Also I didn’t say I agreed with them. Just attempting to shed some light on the statement.

“We do believe from our engagement with this subject that he was singularly focused on one issue, and it was not specifically related to the Jewish community,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Matt DeSarno had said following the situation's resolution.
