Oh, 2nd pic is of Dad Coach Howard and Jimmy owns & runs the Tap Room down in the basement where beers are still $1 a glass if I remember right from last year there after NDame game.
He was closed this year after the Stanford game due to no power.
And, in his day Jimmy was a fine statue of a man due to being a RB at Clemson under his Dad..and also a talented & aggressive Rugby Club Player too.

Yes, I would encourage anyone too young to have been around Coach Howard to visit Jimmy if you can. The similarities are striking. 😃

I fell in love with the roller skate girl somewhere between 1980-1982. Wonder where she is now?

He was an outstanding rb in HS. In College, he saved his Daddy's coaching in his last season, as he racked up over 200 yards to help his Dad be 6 and 4 instead of a losing season. Also, he was a brilliant student in high School. And always was fun to be around. I hope this info is right? I worked my way through school and college. On home games I worked behind the snack bars.

In the early 80s, they had $3 pitchers of ice cold beer. Thinking it was Busch but not 100% sure. It went down smooth but would give you a mighty headache the next day

He was the state bee inspector at one time. He taught a class, entomology 308, that several of us took. The lab was going to his house to work the bee hives and then to drink a cold beer to talk about what we had done.

Jimmy refused to attend the Clemson-South Carolina game in Columbia. The reason was the money he would spend on a ticket would go to support their athletic program.

Wait...Jimmy Howard is 80+?!! Thanks a lot LBB, I just aged about 100 years with that post.
Not a good week, I just bought one of those things that picks up pinecones and the wife and I watch Dancing with the Stars last night. After Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!
I'm done.

I was more of a TTT guy but drank a few in Sloan Street Tap Room in the early-mid 80s.
I also seem to recall another, similar bar down that street or close by back then but cannot remember the name. Not even sure the recollection is correct.
Does anyone remember another bar close to the Tap Room around about 82-85?

Thanks. Might have been Nick's. Too many years and too many beers (at the time) to be sure.
