Dartmouth is also leading the way in bringing back admissions based on meritocracy, not racist DEI practices
"Dartmouth College will once again require standardized college admissions tests in order to be admitted to the school, a reversal for the Ivy League school that was one of a thousand schools that made the tests optional "

As o posted in another thread, this means that tbey pay for their own tuition, medical, and can be reprimanded and discharged for poor performance. These kids are about to learn life lessons. Think about shooting 52% free throws and being told that it needs to be 75% or better by your review. That is extreme, but the truth is, I believe tbat the university now has control. Low earnings by the athletic department and guess what... the lowest performing 100 student athletes are now furloughed. That means your off the team and lose all benefits. Welcome to unemployment kids!!

Looking more and more like we are headed toward collective bargaining. College sports will officially become professional sports. Going to get weird.

And while many say it's the athletes who are now calling the shots, I suspect it's the universities. If Im a university president or trustee, as distasteful as it seems, I know the only way I can get a handle on all this NIL and portal mess is to let the kids unionize.
Once done, they can send their union reps in to talk NIL salary caps, revenue sharing, scholarship stipends, transfer options, etc.
And the athletes are going to learn the meaning of "meet the new boss, same as the old boss."
