IMO I think Tony Elliot may be in a little over his head. Hard to figure how in 21 UVA had an offense that didn't seem to have much of a problem scoring to this year (with good amount of starters returning) to an offense that looks anemic. UVA's former OC is at Syracuse and they are much improved offensively. It appears Elliott made the mistake a lot of coaches make in not being able to adapt and wanting to be the smartest guy in the room. The old my way or the highway. A good leaders adapts to strength of their personnel and is not intimidated by smart assistants. By this time next year he will be on the hotseat.

You forget Elliott's middlin-or worse play calling and offense his last two years at Clemson. Sorry, but his departure was not a loss.
