And the pitching staff isn’t even close to what it can and will be by mid-late season assuming we stay healthy

Very encouraged by the pitching this weekend, still need the bats to come around but they will. Yet we still got the hits when we needed them the most.

Don't come on here with this nonsense. If we don't have 6 guys that throw 100 mph it means we suck. I keep reading about how Bakich isn't picking enough power arms off the tree that they grow on.

Tallent - retired
Moehler - out for season
Bell - back spasms
Samol - supposed minor. Status soon
Lee - injured? Undetermined
Kissenberth - ???
Gillen - supposed minor. Status soon

Obviously some posters don't realize how many of our "Big Arms" are out. These are your mid 90s
3-4 pitch arsenal. It's frappin miraculous we've won the games we have.

If we can get just 2 or 3 back, we're Omaha bound.

As for our bats. It's a huge series with a lot of pressure. At times, our guys chased pitches and tried to do too much. That'll get ironed out, as well as their swing plane. Not worried.

Thanks a million. Great to hear Lee is tossing. Man, I can't wait to see Bell chunk it. I've been salivating since Samol signed to see him on the bump... love this team. Excited to see some more youngsters this week. Got the feeling crighton plays tomorrow. He'll be on a mission. Thanks again.
