I have NEVER darkened the doorsteps of Temu, yet they show suggestive clothing for women. Nor, have I crossed the portal of the countless suggestive sites that are out there. It is called targeting. A sports website is typically going to be male inhabited (no offense ladies). Therefore, the ads show luring photographs to entice men to click. I have reported the inappropriate ads countless time to Google via their feedback option. The ads still pop-up. Therefore, I have taken alternative methods to not see the ads.

Its not just as easy as Browser History. Its a combo of many things to include history. The mics on the phones are listening all the time, you can talk about insurance and yoi will see ads. The mics might pic up Ad on car radio and start adding that to algorithm. Also the browser knows your age, demographics, areas traveled, etc. So yes browser history can lead you down a Rabbit Hole but there are lots of factors in the Adsense that select your ads.

This is very true. I get pop up ads ( not on tnet) re. Items I never click or care about. Some of it has to do your just using a word when texting or emai. As you stated, it also has to do with age, gender, etc.i get these dating site pop up ads, and I have never clicked on or gone looking for a dating site. I'm happily married for 58 years. And believe it or not, the ads are for senior dating sites, they are targeting mr based on age. Obviously, if you visit web sites, you will get ads based on that.

Yea, I'm getting unsolicited ads about dating services lately. Not sure but somehow they must know that my wife has just filed for divorce. I'm not sure why she did. All I did was answer her question on which of the girlfriends I would want to have a threesome with and I gave her two names!

Yes, yes they are. Your response is wrong...or at least incomplete. Ads are targeted based on your online profile, which includes browsing history. They can also be targeted in other ways, as you mention, but that's not mutually exclusive.
The link in the ad is literally telling you that it is targeted. It's in black and white for you to read.

the P-orn site ads are not something I want to see either. Don't give me that browsing history crap either. I never look for that or Ram vans, but see ads for those nor do I search anything on the web for dogs and I am looking at multiple pet product advertisements today.
It is really ridiculous for a site that filters anything close to a sexual word or curse word to be shoving pornography adverstisements in my face.
