The 3-point shooting is starting to concern me some.

I love destroying teams in the paint, but we are missing wide open 3s with regularity. We were close to a 40% 3 shooting team. Now we are 3-25 in the UVA and VT games. Just seems like a bad trend starting at an awful time of the season.

Shooting , when doing it correctly will come and go somewhat. Better talent, it goes less :) That is part of the game. Fundamentals can't come and go. That MUST be there 100% of the time. That worries me much, much more.

11.8% at the 5:21 remaining point in the game. Yikes.

Come on Tigers. Get that 3 pointer re-calibrated.

Honestly, if we had to suffer a 3 setback I'm fine for it being now if it turns back on next week and beyond.

That said, I gotta say it's impressive that despite the woes from 3 we are still winning convincingly.

VT is a very good perimeter defending team…the success is inside tonight…Just how it is when you play a team like this…They gave us fits the first time we played them.

Has 0 to do with perimeter defense . We are taking about missing wide open 3’s over the last couple games now . It is very concerning . On your home floor you should be able to close your eyes and shoot better than 12 % from 3 .

That and the significant scoring droughts won’t fair well against competition going forward.

I am somewhat concerned as well.

We have a lot of good shooters, but we can’t afford to go cold in the postseason.

I’m choosing to believe that we are getting our misses out of the way now and will be hot in the tournaments.

I am not concerned about the many ways our offense can score. I’m not concerned about solid defense.

To the crux, I am not concerned about a two game stretch of poor 3-pt shooting. That said, talk to me at three.

This senior team deserves some grace. They have shown it all year.

Their 3-pt shooting has been shown all year. Possibly their grace too***

good three point shooters, just a matter of time and opposing teams schemes that it shakes out. The game is inside out, and our inside game has really progressed this year, especially now with Ian and the Crushin'Russian back to good health.

I’m concerned Chase Hunter’s injury (calf and/or whatever had him limping off the court on Wednesday night) is not going to allow him to recover his shooting. He took some deep deep 3’s yesterday, so maybe he should look for shots closer to arc to get back into a rythym.

I agree…been a long season, probably need to get our legs back under us. I’m guessing after a week of rest it’ll start to come back.
