inform next of kin where a detainee is being taken, why they are being taken, what they’re being charged with, and in what court they will appear. Due process is important in America; it is foundational.
Look, we all want a better and legal immigration policy. Instead of creating a fascist police state to do it, do it through congress with both sides of the aisle. Screaming democrats are evil and bloviating on how much he hates them, POTUS had an opportunity to do something good for the country. Instead, he’s doing the opposite by creating a cavernous divide,abducting anyone who looks foreign, taking a giant shid on the constitution by disregarding due process, and bragging about how tough he is. The guy has a toddler mentality.
Were he a real leader, he’d have chosen the right way to do things. But he wants absolute power, money, and protection. He wants to be Putin.

Actual criminals who get arrested by the police.
What distinction are we drawing here between ICE and the police, especially given that most of the people ICE are picking up have only committed the singular, nonviolent crime of illegal entry/residency?How are we justifying ICE wearing masks and regular state/local LEO not?

It's a double standard, any way you slice it. Calling for people to harm LEOs, whether ICE or local cops, or judges, or politicians, is illegal. Actually harming them, or attempting to do so, is highly illegal. Fear of retaliation isn't justification for anonymizing an entire federal police force. This is, whether you choose to draw the comparison or not, Gestapo/Brownshirt type tactics.

Seems if they were acting in good faith, they would not need to cover their faces, as opposed to using fear tactics, tackling unarmed women to the ground, pointing their weapons at civilians, and shooting Journalists with rubber bullets, you know, those guys. Possibly if you would police your own, we would have a little more trust, but nothing I am seeing suggests it is a worthwhile risk to trust an ICE pig any further than you can throw one.
