Those ######## umpires really screwed us up last night.

Yep! Even the announcers said it looked like a HR to them.

That was such an obvious

Home run it’s not like it hit the foul pole. The fact that they didn’t overturn it is crazy. $ec umps are so biased.

It's in front of the foul pole, and then we see it go behind it.

It went behind the pole after it left the park.

Had it hit the foul pole(Fair pole) it would still have been a HR

Only UGA engineers would design a perforated foul pole that you can clearly see through. By doing that, it is impossible to tell if a ball is fair or foul as it passes right behind it. The foul pole should be made of solid material just for situations like this one. A foul pole of solid material would have clearly shown the ball to be fair because it would have disappeared behind the pole for an instant.

After years and years of waiting, the perforated foul pole scheme has finally paid off with a Tuesday night win over Clemson.

Clearly, we need to get our Clemson engineers involved the next time the Tigers play UGA at Doug Kingsmore.

If you freeze the video at the 8 second mark you can clearly see that the ball disappears behind the pole.

It certainly looks like a homerun to me. Were other video's of this HR shown to give the umps reason to call it foul?

Really an easy call, I don't see how they missed it. If it went above the pole it may be a difficult call, but it clearly was inside the pole. Awful!!!

If that ball passed in front of the pole (without hitting it), then it never falls into that tree. It would be many feet in front of the tree. Plus, the pole portion of the foul pole never shows white as the ball passes by.

and even if it would have hit the foul pole, the entire foul pole is in fair territory! When the ball disappears behind the pole from the TV angle, there is no question it was a fair ball. Homers!!

tnet-military.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Bingo. Only dishonesty could have made that foul.***

Those umpires probably get a vote in the poll that ranked the SEC teams ,1 2, 3, and 4.

That wasn't even close to being a foul ball. Even that camera angle wasn't enough to cast doubt. Pure incompetence on the part of the umps AT BEST. They know what their jobs are.

I hope Clemson never wins a game like that one...I want it to be fair and square and that was not fair and square...If Clemson ever won a game like that I would feel like it was really a loss

Re: The Clemson home run that was called a foul (video)

I agree, and that's bc people that can be honest with themselves, they couldn't accept a win like that without feeling guilty or dirty. My exact feeling about sports is if you're going to practice and play the game, there should never be any question about how you won the game. Play by the rules and there won't ever be any question about how you won!!!

Dabo won his first national championship on an illegal pick by the receiver in the end zone. You should reject that win,.

The call, if there would have been one, is defensive holding. The DB came up and pulled the inside receiver to the ground. There was no blocking. Quit quoting Figbum.
