At a press conference, Tommy was asked about where Steve Spurrier had voted a team (can't remember if it was USuCk or Clemson), but he had them way off what everyone else had.
Tommy's response: "...Must be smoking something"!!

He's exactly right. The way Clemson is improving with out new QB, the one team you know Bama doesn't want to play is us. If anybody can beat the Evil Empire, it's us.

If we don't beat a very talented FSU team, then any speculation about us and Alabama is premature. We lose, we won't even be in the mix. We'll go home!! We are not good enough to take anyone for granted .However, we have the best collegiate QB in the nation. Let's hope we can block for him.

We have the best QB in college football, IMHO. Great receivers. My only worry is still our OL. Thank goodness Trevor has a quick release, because he's not getting a lot of protection. We "should" beat Louisville handily,which gives me concerns that I hope are unfounded. I read somewhere that we aren't able to recruit top OL players because we don't historically send a lot of them to NFL. If true, it seems to me that we have to find a solution to this problem.

Match up outcome is a no brainer for most sensible people who follow college football. TB is on the mark on the outcome, but his method of expressing it is, well, typical TB. Little real analysis but heavy on sad humor. The Noles are never a pushover at home, but their team on both sides of the ball is way short of our Tigers proven abilities. We'll beat the spread imo.

Man, I hope you are right. I have too many bad memories re: Fla. State. That have the best athletes available. But, they don't have Trevor Lawrence, whom I hope will be the difference. But, they are Fla. State, but if we are going to be an elite program we are going to have to win these type of games. A wild guess: We win.

Maybe if Tommy would have smoked weed before a game and not be so high strung, shaking refs and such .
He probably wouldn't have to walk off during stress and pull up weeds to chew on if he'd mellowed out .
