on his on and has severe pneumonia. some how he threw up at the scene and inhaled it. the acid practically burned his lungs. Dr. said he is extremely sick with pneumonia and it could be fatal. They are not as concerned about his C2 fracture. He moved his extremities early this morning.

Certainly will keep him in my prayers. My nephew was unconscious for a good while after throwing up and inhaling it and was on breathing tubes. Ultimately he got better and is now totally healthy, showing no permanent injury. Let's pray your brother has a similar outcome.

faith. My mom was on a ventilator for 8 days, got off of it for one day and then back on it and completely out for another 4 days. That was three years ago and we are blessed to have our mom doing well all this time since then. If the doctors are keeping everything stable, sometimes being on ventilation gives the body a time to rest and recover without the shock and stress of fighting itself. Of course, I don't know all of your details, but I am just saying never give up hope. Likely, little positive signs will build on each other and become a trend and they will build momentum to a good recovery. Stay positive and say positive things in the ICU even if your brother is not conscious. Let them know you are there and you are all waiting to see him out of the hospital soon.
