you've gotta go ahead and end the d@mn game. Instead, we watch pitches go by and strike out.
Crucial, crucial runs.

When you are winning 6-1 you can not have walks, errors, and a grand slam before you take your friggin pitcher out!

Agree on all points. It was obvious that Gossett had lost control in the 5th inning and should have been relieved two batters prior to Greiner's hit. It is also obvious that McGibbon should have been bunting to make it 7-1 with a runner on third and one out. It is equally obvious that Garrett Boulware should turn in his catcher's gear...he is a major liability behind the plate. Finally, errors certainly don't help, including those by a defensive stalwart, Krieger. In the final analysis, plenty of blame to share.

He has no feel for the game or his team in big games...like he is detached and coaches off statistics

It was fatal when our coach felt a tired pitcher was as fresh as when he started the first inning.

Yep, when we stranded 2nd & 3rd with no outs, I told my boys big mo has swung and look out for a bad inning. And, 2 hitters before the grand slam, I screamed time to switch pitchers. Most frustrating, I called the grand slam just before the pitch left his hand. I'll bet many of you did, as it seems we often take out a pitcher too early when he's doing well & leave one in too long when he struggles.)

I saw that grand slam coming 8 pitches before the catcher came up to bat. Right after the pitch that Goose bounced 3" in front of the plate. I'm pretty sure it was pitch 96.

darn well after we went up by five runs that the team would shut down. - particularly on offense. It's our new Theme this year - get a big lead and shut her down!
