In a game of big people (size does matter in football), DL Dexter Lawrence (2016-2018) still finds a way to stand out! I have heard people describe Bix Dex as a really good, nice person off the field. On the field, however, the man is a monster.
At Clemson:
Lawrence’s ClemsonTigers.com bio describes his Clemson career as follows:
Declared for the NFL Draft after completing his Clemson career with 162 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, 43 quarterback pressures, five pass breakups, a caused fumble and three recovered fumbles in 1,541 snaps over 40 games (36 starts) … first-team All-American who was also a three-time All-ACC selection.

Of particular interest is that Big Dex registered both offensive and defensive statistics. As shown above, in 2018, Dexter Lawrence registered a touchdown in his one rushing attempt for 2 yards. He is officially 100% in scoring a touchdown on each and every carry over his collegiate career!

After Clemson:
The NY Giants selected Dexter Lawrence with he 17th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. In his five seasons with the Giants, Lawrence has amassed the following stats according to Pro-Football.com:

- 266 Tackles (148 Solo, 118 Assisted)
In May 2023, Sports illustrated reported the following regarding Lawrence’s NFL career:
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Thursday afternoon that New York Giant defensive tackle, and former Clemson Tiger, agreed to an extension deal for 4 years worth $90 million and $60 million guaranteed. That deal makes Lawrence the third highest-paid defensive tackle in the entire National Football League.
The 6-foot-4 342-pound lineman has been one of the lynchpins to the Giants' plans on defense the past few years and the money proves it. "Sexy Dexy" had 36 quarterback pressures in the 2022 season which was second most among all eligible defensive tackles in the league, as well as actually hitting the QB 28 times which ranked third overall. He also had 7.5 sacks which tied for seventh among players at his position. Many Giants fans have also noted the noticeable difference when Lawrence is off the field due to opposing teams rushing for 741 yards on 6.86 yards per carry in those situations.

South Carolina Highway 162 is a 13.54 mile state highway that starts on the west end at SC 174 in Adams Run and goes through Hollywood on the way to the east end at US 17 in Rantowles about 15 miles west of Charleston.
 
The Greenville Drive baseball team in Greenville, SC is the class High-A minor league team for the Boston Red Sox, playing in the South Atlantic League. They play at Fluor Field at the West End and the mascot is a frog named Reedy Rip'it. The team began in 1977 in Shelby, NC, but moved to Columbia, SC in 1983 as the Columbia Mets, then the Capitol City Bombers in 1992. In 2005, the team became a Red Sox affiliate and moved to Greenville Municipal Stadium as the Greenville Bombers. In 2006, the team moved to Fluor Field as the Greenville Drive. The Drive name was due to the influence of BMW. The team was going to be called the Joes for Shoeless Joe Jackson, but that was nixed by MLB. Drive alumni include Mookie Betts, Clay Bucholz, and Anthony Rizzo.

My dad took me to see the Capital City Bombers play at the old stadium in Columbia when I was a weee chap around 1968 or so. I can still remember the vendors selling peanuts, hotdogs, and soft drinks. That night was magical... I'll never forget the sights and sounds.
