Something to watch out for over the next several days...According to Kendall Rodgers from D1 Baseball, Bakich is on the shortlist to fill the Texas coaching job.
Names listed in order were:
Schlossnagle - A&M
Vitello - Tennessee
Bakich - Clemson
Wes Johnson - UGA
Skip Johnson - Oklahoma
Vaughn - Bama
Hate seeing our guy on that list obviously. Texas is arguably the top job in college baseball and would be hard to say no to. Hopefully they will look elsewhere. We obviously won't be able to match the money Texas can offer if they do come calling.

Nah, that's a good sign he's on the short list. That only helps us in recruiting... just seeing the respect Bakich has is wonderful.
We will, I hope, and should give coach a raise. We can also do our part by trying to help with nil money. That's what he needs.
It's not about money with Eric. No way he leaves. Like Dabo, he loves Clemson. He hasn't accomplished the goals he wants here. He's a good one.
You can tell the great coaches we have because every opening, they're on people's short list.

I've seen the article in Clemson Insider, but that info was from anonymous sources and was phrased as "no plans to leave Clemson". I won't believe it until it comes from the horse's mouth.

Jack was terminated for reason. Really don't want to see him as the head coach again.

Jay Johnson was on some lists too. He's not leaving, nor is Vitello. Schlossnagle would be shocking, he's got everything he needs at Texas A&M. Bakich would be surprising but that Texas job is a near the top of the elite jobsand I wouldn't fault anyone for taking it.

Bakich isn't leaving Clemson just bc he is on a short list. He believes that he can accomplish winning championships at Clemson, especially with Brownell showing him how to pay portal guys

You're a schmuck but I'll take the bait and respond anyways...Kendall Rogers is the #1 reporter in college baseball. I'm not claiming to have any inside info and know anything. But if our coach is being mentioned in his column about candidates for one of the top jobs in the country, it is absolutely relevant to be brought up here. Take your all caps and shove it.

and I hope he does. He is calm & calculating until it is time to not be calm & calculating and stand up for his team, love that about him.
He needs to make the best choice for him but he has only put in 2 years here and starting to gain some traction in the program with some big prospects..... Texas needs to stay away and choose A&M coach
