Texas Bottle Throwing!

The Longhorns have cameras and eyes all over that stadium...why were security personnel not hauling students out of the stands! I live in Texas and paid a boat load of money to send a daughter there and am embarrassed beyond belief...there should be 1000+ students never allowed back in, fined and a footnote on their transcript! UT is trashy! EVEN BEVO looked embarrassed and he's nutless!

They will. The SEC basically said they will need to use all available resources (security cameras, tv cameras, eye witness) to find anyone who threw an object. Those who are caught and identified will not be able to attend another sporting event for the remainder of the season

How will they keep someone out of the stadium? The perpetrators can create a new Ticket Master account and circumvent any punishment.

Also a great question, I actually don’t know how they would or could enforce it.

Maybe for students it will be “if you’re caught in an event you’re prohibited from the consequences will be more severe” type thing. Like additional suspension from events, revocation of future student tickets etc. just a guess

They may have access to facial recognition tech.

There is a lot of that out there these days.

you are under more surveillance than you'll ever truly understand. they will take any measure they want to keep these people out. Will be easy to keep the students responsible out. Joe Schmoe Football fan a little more difficult.

I have a nephew who was on Swat/Security duty at Death Valley a few years back. His Dad and I were in our seats enjoying the game when he got a phone call from my nephew wanting to know if we were enjoying the game. He said "Yes. Where are you.......to which my nephew replied.....I cannot tell you but I am looking at you through my rifle scope." We both yelled..."I hope it's not loaded" to which he replied "NO...it was not loaded. Just using the scope for surveillance." Still, kinda sorta unsettling.

The SEC has never done that against the coots

They've thrown bottles at us for nearly every home game.

I love your post. Punishment for a first offense is you have to sit in the stands and watch a Coot game. Second offense the punishment is two Coot games. Third offense you have to use season tickets.

I really, really hope our students will never do that. Very bad look even though we are talking about kids and don’t believe it is a true reflection of Texas. I’m sure admin is very disappointed at the embarrassment it has caused. Maybe a few can be caught and made an example of, which you would hope would stop that nonsense from happening again.

When people show you who they are, you should believe them.

Throwing Bottles? Looks their SEC fan reaction training must have come from Coot U.
