They had some good drives early against Texas. Looks like if we play well early we could get off to a hot start.

Pretty hot finish last night. Way too cool in the 3rd and 4th quarter before that.

We got an easy draw. Texas had an easy sec schedule as it turned out. They escaped Tennessee, ole miss, Bama, South Carolina, and mizzou.
Outside of uga, who beat them twice, they played the bottom half of the sec. Just like it worked out for us playing the bottom half of the acc. Just works out that way sometimes.
We can beat them. Less smu, they're the easiest draw other than Oregon or uga.

Texas has a very good defense but when their two best wins were against Vandy and A&M, there is a chance.

They beat Michigan at Michigan and took UGA to the wire twice.
If we are able to beat them, I like facing Arizona State next in Atlanta. Ohio State has a tougher route.

Michigan was very mediocre this year if you didn't notice, even with their win against OSU. Also, texas in fact not take Georgia to the wire twice. They got handled in their first game easily.

I would rather have had the number 11 draw playing Penn State than Boise State. But either way, it’s up to Clemson to play well and win. We don’t really have depth and we certainly don’t have the high level of superior talent on both sides of the ball that we had in 2016 and the 2018. Our 18 to 22-year-olds just have to perform their 18 to 22-year-olds. Our best players have to out perform their best players. Our coaches have to out perform their coaches. It happened in 2016 and 2018. It can happen again, we just don’t have nearly as much depth or talent on the field.

We have plenty of talent, however inexperienced many of them may be. We have the 5th most talented roster in the nation according to 247. Depth is a major issue as you stated, but not because of a lack of talent but a lack of experience.
Another key component we are missing is good coaching. The reason for a lot of the second half meltdowns this season has been due to poor coaching. Everytime we go up big we get ultra conservative on both sides of the ball, and our coaches are absolutely bereft of any ability to make adjustments.

I will not hold my breath on our coaches outperforming their coaches.

Texas has shown they can come back late and we’ve struggled to close out games. We’ve got a lot of growing up to do in the next 2 weeks if we want to sniff the 2nd round
