Tee Higgins playing basketball next year for Clemson
Mar 21, 2017, 12:23 PM

Along with recruiting Zion would probably get us deep in the tournament next year and a run at the ACC title. Think Dabo would loan Tee to play basketball? He obviously a super star!

Pretty sure BB couldn't be bothered to meet with Tee

On his official visit. Why would Tee want to play for him(his current team does even want to play for him) nor should Dabo let BB reap the fruits of his labor.

I agree TennLadyTiger, I don't think it's likely either. But would be interesting. If you look at pro salaries, a superstar NBA player makes a lot more than an NFL wide receiver. If I were Tee and could play with Zion; I would!

I believe he would love to play both sports. Could be wrong....but he was not going to play this last year in high school so he could focus on football, but ended up playing basketball anyways.
He really does have some skills.

Having Tee & Zion would like be having Durant & LeBron play together.... Again I don't think it would happen. Just fun to think how quickly our BB team could around with these two guys.

Getting Dabo to allow any of his players to play basketball AND football simultaneously is more of a long-shot than ever getting Zion & Tee on a court at the same time. If he didn't let Mike Williams do it, I don't see that changing any time soon. Track is one thing. But playing basketball and football is just too much demand, both physically & time-wise, to a student athlete at the D1 level, especially as a freshman.

Tee Higgins isn't a high major prospect.
Mar 21, 2017, 3:47 PM

I know it goes against the mantra of the anti-Brownell crowd, which states that Brownell is an idiot who can't identify talent or recruit it. But as great of an athlete as Higgins is, and as good as he was in high school, he isn't an ACC caliber prospect for basketball.
