Hey- have any of you got a portable power station that you love for tailgating? Looking at a anker or ecoflow or jackery. Just curious on your experience with them and what size you went with and what you can power on a long day of tailgating.
Also, any words of wisdom on the best TV setup for streaming...I have youtube TV.
Thanks!

I still use a 2200W Generator but switched from Dish Network to a SOLIS 5G Hotspot. I also have YouTube TV. I have been thinking about alternate power so am interested in hearing options.

Which cellular service? A great hotspot is fine, but getting a consistent signal around 80,000 people has always been near impossible for me.

I use a Ryobi whisper quiet generator. Just because I run a lot of electronics. Two TV’s several croc pots, coffee maker etc. I’m sure some of those green version might work if your needs aren’t huge. We tailgate before and after waiting for traffic to clear. And to let the alcohol clear.

crock pots at the same time with the TV and boxes..
3rd one trips my power chord.. it might be the power strip though. I've had it for 20 years.

YouTube TV using Apple TV and Firestick has been seamless for me. YouTube allows zip code change with no issues. I did use the high dollar auto tune satellite but it’s cumbersome

Tips for cold weather: get a fire pit and load it with charcoal. Great for staying warm as space heaters can zap your wattage. It lasts for hours and is within rules. It’s funny to see everyone huddled around the charcoal pit.

Just take care of that fire pit when you go to the game. I watched a car burn one night years ago.

But don't dump hot coals at the base of a tree and kill it.

A LP tank and infrared gas heater works really nicely too, without having to worry about hot coals later.
For years we used a pair of deep-cycle batteries that we connected in parallel and hooked inverter to it. Ran self-aligning DishTV satellite antenna, Dish Hopper receiver, and a fairly large LCD tv, maybe 42"?
Batteries are silent and easy to manage, albeit heavy. But we used them as tent weights, too. Just put them on charger when you get home...you've got a week before the next game to get them recharged.
