Survey ... Who will score more on the coots

Nov 15, 2022, 9:20 AM

Tennessee or Clemson ?

You gotta figure TN will

Nov 15, 2022, 9:23 AM

Their air assault can score pretty quickly. I think they score 40+ on the Gamecocks.

I think we just crush them with the ground game - long, time-consuming drives that don't drive up the score as quickly. We'll score in the 30's.

UT score 56
Tigers score 35

Other than Georgia, only two teams have played UT close...

Nov 15, 2022, 9:26 AM

this season (Pitt and Florida), both of whom are better than uof7c. Tennessee hung 66 on Mizzou last week. I'd expect more of the same this week.

I would consider the Bama game closer than either Pitt or Florida, but I guess that's just my personal opinion based on mathematical facts :)

That was a game that a Dabo team would have won 49-24. That was the score with about 6 minutes left. Tennessee still had their starters in and was still throwing deep. Settled for a FG to get to 52 then but some backups in and got the ball back two more times and still kept the hammer down, throwing deep. They celebrated their offensive capability and did not shut it down up 2 scores in the 3rd quarter like we’ve done two or three times this year. Yes the last TD inside a minute was low class and poor sportsmanship but they played the CFP rankings game and I expect them to make the Top 4 after Ohio State-Michigan play.

Margin of victory...

Nov 15, 2022, 4:29 PM

or style points are not supposed to be factors in the rankings, but they absolutely are, and anyone who says otherwise, is lying.

Is that like a rhetorical question?

Because it cant be a serious one.....

could be a discussion at the playoff committee table. Who scored more on the Gamecocks? Tennessee on the road or Clemson at home?

Margin of victory is purposefully excluded from the selection committee conversation. They might look at game control metrics but points scored should not factor in.

Tennessee

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

almost certainly TN . . .

Nov 15, 2022, 11:17 AM

I could be wrong, but I see zero reason to assume otherwise at this juncture.

Tenn has one of the best offenses in the country... Clemson

Nov 15, 2022, 11:20 AM

TN.

Tennessee is in style points mode and I predict they will keep their foot on the gas until the last second. Clemson will likely win comfortably but run the clock out once up a few scores. We don't really have the high flying offense this year and don't have the demeanor to try and run up the score given what we have seen up to this point in the season.
