Monday was hard. Players were really down.
Tuesday was better. The team seemed to move on. They were in a good frame of mind today and seemed ready to play.
Brad said he didn’t do a good job tonight and feels that he let the team down.
We aren’t using the NCAA Tournament disappointment as an excuse tonight. Morehead State outplayed us and deserved to win.
We rushed some shots when they seemed to bait us into taking them.
Brad is happy about who we have coming back.
We will be active in the transfer portal. Definitely a perimeter player and possibly an older guy if he’s the right fit.

We have NO ONE on the bench to fill Tyson’s or Galloway’s shoes. Not sure how we’ll be better.

There are two things you should be aware of.

One is called player development.
The other is called the transfer portal.
Our coaches are good at both.

What more could he say? I mean, besides "This is it - this

is the best I can do. If you're happy and satisfied with this season, and the last 13 overall, then I'm grateful and you should keep me around for more. I can promise I will work hard to produce at a similar level going forward. If you are not satisfied with this season, considering the previous 12, and you want more from a coach at Clemson, you should move in another direction, and I will understand".
This really isn't about Brownell, it's about Clemson's expectations for men's basketball.

Exactly. I call it the "Bowden effect" because he's doing to Mr. Neff what Tommy Bowden did to Mr. Phillips just over a decade ago. His teams play to the level of his job security, just good enough to get him an extension.

We aren’t using the NCAA tourney as an excuse despite your very first line (Monday was hard, players were down) being an excuse about the NCAA tourney. Well played - much like the basketball.

So it’s ok for Brad to say a transfer needs to be the right fit but you mock Dabo when he says it??
Are you worried one guy might ruin the locker room? Is the culture really very strong if one transfer can mess it up? Do you remember this conversation??
I will support the basketball team regardless of who the coach is and agree that a transfer needs to be the right fit. I just don’t agree with your blatant hypocrisy and jealousy towards another Clemson sports program.

The difference is Dabo and football actually plays for championships and usually wins them…..

Nothing wrong with saying that a transfer player needs to be

the right fit.
That's how it should be.
But there is something wrong with a coach seemingly never finding a transfer player who is the right fit - especially when said coach has gone out of his way to criticize the transfer portal and talk about how "my transfer portal is right there in that locker room."
One coach has embraced the portal and used it to improve his team, while the other criticizes it and hasn't used it to help his team (even when he clearly should've).

The NIT is a pressure cooker, too much for this team and extremely difficult on a supposedly coach of the year candidate. NIT should be played in Italy so absolutely no one is watching or can watch. Don’t for get we are top flite basketball of the world people.

If Brownell was your financial advisor would you say the same thing? He terrible with my investment, but he’s a great Money guy. Brownell is NOT a Clemson guy. He will swear allegiance to anyone who will pay him. He’s a loser. Period. He’s NEVER won anything. He’s the SCar of mens basketball. SMH. Guy needs to be ran out by the boosters. Hint, that’s us. Everyone who pays Iptay is a booster. Make noise

Why not, they met my exact expectations for our program. Too bad they’ve set these low expectations. Wondering if Neff is really serious about basketball or if that was BS and these are his expectations also.
I mean, you’d have to be crazy to expect more at this point without making a change. This is what we do. This is what we continue to accept.

He must have some pictures. Baseball, women's BB etc they have no problem moving on and having some expectations, but men's BB ? Nice guy, good grades whatever- IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON FOR EVERYONE. Why cant Neff see that? Not like some star recruit we need Brad 'first four out' Brownell to hang onto.

Oh well…. The NCAA selection committee is vindicated. In hindsight, we should have done the UNC thing I guess.

Absolutely. The NIT is pointless unless you really need the scrimmage time. Hanging a banner for the NIT championship would be pathetic. We are the 65th best team in basketball baby!

Well, you could see this coming. Brad's press conference the other day all he talked about was NOT making the NCAA's. They didn't have their full attention on Morehead. Next year probably gets Brad fired as we're losing 2 of our best 3 players and he's not replaced them with anything. That one high school kid he signed might develop into an ACC player by 2026 if he hangs around that long.
If PJ stays, next year we likely move to somewhere between 6th-9th in the ACC. If PJ does leave to the NBA we're way down.

Is that our coach is not a very good coach. He is average. That defines Clemson Basketball - average.
