Strength of schedule is such a weak argument

5

Dec 5, 2024, 5:50 PM

No one knows or controls who or how bad they will be. Take FSU for example, at the beginning they were a “strength” on every teams schedule. You play who you play. At the beginning everyone thought Gamecocks schedule was loaded but now looking back they played some bad teams.

Only way to get a gage on SOS is after all games played. Still hard to compare between conferences.

Say whatever helps you through your day, but Clemson SOS is not up with others like Gamecocks and Dawgs.
Down in Columbia it’s…
“Well, Coots your Daddy now?”

Yall won this year, congrats

But isn’t it kinda cringey, if not downright embarrassing, to hear or say something like that when you’ve lost 8 of the last 10, the 2 games y’all won coming by a total of 4 pts?

Just sayin…

Your head is filled with rocks the Coootycoots played no one but bama and Clemson. And no I don’t consider an over rated a&m team up there with bama and Clemson.

You absolutely deserve to enjoy that joke right now, and we deserve to suffer through it… after having dominated for so long.

It's not a weak argument towards the end of the season though. It's not about whether intentions were good when scheduled. It's about how hard the schedule was when played.

If you can get the ESPN’s spin out of your head that the SEC is the greatest conference ever. Then you will see that every conference has 2-3 good teams and everyone else is mediocre. So SOS without the ESPN prejudice looks a lot more equal.

SOS is based on polls/rankings, and that's the problem.

Polls and rankings are nothing but a reflection of the biased, media driven opinions of those who vote in polls. Another problem. Actually winning games should be the goal, not impressing people who vote in polls, and college football needs to be re-structured in a way that eliminates polls and opinions altogether, and rewards the winners every step of the way.

Above all else, love and forgive. Understand that people who disagree with you are not necessarily idiots or your enemies. Respect the wisdom of the founding fathers and individual rights and freedoms. Always see the beauty and humor in life.

It is the benefit of hindsight and knowing how easy the schedule turned out to be…

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”
