When your team is filled with blue chip recruits and you’re still getting pushed around and run past on both sides of the ball, you are either missing on your talent evaluations or the strength and conditioning staff is failing. Given that we seem to have freshman making impacts and then regressing over the last few years, I’d lean more towards the latter as the root cause.

I don’t know, but it would seem to be complacency at least. There’s been a clear decline though.

We have had the same strength and conditioning coaches since 1995.... Joey Batson and Larry Greenlee. It worked before.... maybe its something else.

I agree our players are declining under the staff, but I want to point out that maybe with the exception of ETN and Trevor right now our players in the NFL can’t stay healthy either and are constantly out and some of our biggest stars are hardly even in the game anymore I think it all goes back to strength and conditioning

Is Joey Batson still the S&C coach? Might need to get a new guy whatever work outs he’s doing isn’t showing on the field. Look at how our OL and DL got out muscled tonight

I pointed this out years ago and was told no one is better than Joey Batson, and people used the logic that "batson was here during the 2015-2020 years how could he be the problem" which is a terrible argument, people regress times change, reality says alot of players are hurt alot the last 5 years, and the lines seem weak.
Bill Belichick used to be good now he's not, phil jackson was the greatest nba coach ever but was horrible at the end, it happens, things change.
One of Dabo's weakness is he too slow to change out some of the old guard in Clemson, thats kind of why i dont want jeff scott back, its not that he's bad but dabo needs to get over this safety blanket thing, rehiring old coaches, for 11 million he needs to uncover some new gems. Bill belichick did the whole hire your friends from the glory years thing and its been a huge fail.
