Wilks does a great job as DC. Two times was promoted to interm HC and then doesn't get the full time gig. Was HC in Arizona for a year, was let go after first season which was a mistake by Arizona. I think he would fit the Clemson culture and be a great DC

Hard pass. He was a disaster here in AZ during his one year stint as HC of the Cardinals. Fired after 1 year as DC in a year the Niners went to the Super Bowl. Makes you wonder how that happens.

The defense actually played well in that SB so there was no knee jerk reaction. It had been building throughout the season and guys were complaining even while they were winning.
