If Brian Kelly is still their head coach, he already knows.

I attended one Clemson game this year. It was a noon game, so the crowd was predictably sedate. However, I felt that the "new" PA system was MUCH too loud, played artificial hype, and possible is causing the crowd noise to go down. Why scream when the PA system pretty well drowns out the human voices. If my hunch is correct, it is a net reduction in overall excitement, and that could really be detrimental on big games when excitement is important to feed the noise and frenzy of the fans. In other words, do fans have to compete with the PA system, and if they do, wouldn't that reduce how much noise they're making? Admittedly, I'm an old fart who typically resists change, but to me, the experience of the game I attended left me a bit disillusioned - it just didn't feel like the Clemson games of old. I sure I'm wrong!

I agree 100%, for years the crowd was always hyped regardless of what time of day. Now, it's almost between every single play they just pipe in music and drown out everyone. Me and my wife were watching games last week and even mentioned how good it was just to see the crowds making the noise. I guess I'm old as well but I enjoyed it much better and think the atmosphere was more electric like that.

I agree. Too much hype. The crowd brought it's own noise 70's-90's. I still miss the student mike man. Go Tigers!!!!

The 2005 Miami triple OT is still the loudest game I've ever been to and it was a nooner.

Same here. Couldn't hear the guy right next to me. Unfortunate we had to lose that game. Incredible atmosphere.

Don't know where they get their info. Neyland was 129 at the Bama game. I was there.
