Stadium Environment

Jun 21, 2018, 9:47 AM

While the hill attendance is a hot topic this morning, I think there is another issue that needs attention. The stadium sound system is outdated and incredibly low performing. Anyone on the west end zone half of the field is unable to even hear who made the tackle during a night game. I understand part of that is due to the second to none crowd noise in Death Valley; however, stadiums we have visited in years past like Jordan Hare and Sanford have excellent sound systems which only adds to the environment in those stadiums. A stadium of Death Valley's caliber deserves better.

Fan experience improvements are generally low

on Clemson's priority list ...

But they are building a new IPTAY office, if that helps you out.

I have been saying for years...

that the sound system and the video board at the top of the Hill need to be replaced.

A stadium the caliber of Death Valley absolutely deserves better.

"trebble-ish". I don't know how else to describe it. Like a tin-can.

In short, yes, the sound system needs upgrading something awful.

Sound System is awful you can hear it outside the stadium back towards the campus better than the west endzone side. I've been to stadiums such as Neyland and Jordan Hare and they are 100 times better so I know that it's possible to get a better system.

So blind and deaf people and handicapped people and Democrats have a problem at the game. Maybe we just file in, enjoy, yell and then leave... 'Merica, my 'Merica...

Yep. Sanford Stadium's sound system and video board is robust. Great game experience.

DRad needs to address these video and sound deficiencies ASAP at Death Valley.

Also does DRAD not notice the problem with the hill is the students are sneaking over to the seated area. Might need to hire a new stadium security company while were at it.

Agree

If you are near the video board it is okay.

But if you are sitting where the recruits are (where experience is paramount), you can barely hear.

Surround sound should be added, not just in the one main location.

yep that is a big one. t fill an area that size with sound you deafen nearby folks and far away ones cant hear

I think a less expensive option would to encourage the crowd

Jun 21, 2018, 10:48 AM

to be a little quieter during games. Between the noise, and people trying to constantly stand up in front of me, I rarely have a pleasant game day experience anymore.
