What are some of the main things you are going to be looking/hoping for during the spring game?
While most are focused on the offense, what I'm really looking at is the Defensive ends. XT is still recovering from surgery and while the DTs are proven and deep, we don't really have that at DE. Hoping for some guys to open some eyes on the 15th.
Go Tigers!

I think plenty of new plays and concepts will be shown.
A lot of freshmen I'm anxious to see as well

I want to see more plays in the middle of the field, more usage of the TE and not nearly as many screens.

I will say, at the practice I attended, there was a screen period that was really good. There were some really well-crafted screen plays - not just bubble screens or more formally known as the streeter special

Screens are fine but the ones Streeter ran where god awful. The only time I saw any real success was when Trevor was QB.

Lol. Screen plays are screen plays.

They're an extended run play with a purpose. Nothing magic about them. Either way, we didn't run a bunch of screens. If you're talking about short passes as "screen plays", then yeah, we ran a lot of those.. because we had to.

I don't think you really know what a bubble screen is.

Give me 3 examples of the plethora of "Streeter specials".
The man had to call plays using a barely functional QB. We ran a lot of short, quick passes because DJ had trouble executing beyond that. There was nothing else Streeter could have done, considering the QB situation. As it was, the offense was much improved under Streeter.

We would constantly run bubble screens to Beaux or Ngata? - I don't have access to the film but If I did there would be a long video of us throwing them and the result was mostly a short gain because the blocking by the Wr wasn't great.
Yes he had to limit his playbook because of his QB, but doing the same exact thing over and over with no positive results is insanity.

I love the morons who defend Streeter. He's the one that ruined DJ. And the offense was NOT improved. Especially in the last 7 games, we were bottom 20 in offense. And we had a much, much easier schedule this year than last, especially defensively.

Decided to not run the ball against one of the worst rush d's in the nation (USC) Streeter lost that game by airing it out and not letting Ship eat. Missed playoff because of it.

Frankly I don't care how we score points, TE or not and middle of the field or not. The name of the game is winning.

My thoughts as well. We need XT to have his best year and at least one other to emerge as a solid backup or starter on the other side. Mascol (sp?) hasn't really stood out this far. Seems he is more of a backup caliber guy for our standards at Clemson.
I'm also excited to see Cade in this new offense. He still has a lot to prove IMO. I expect he will turn out to be a great one but we really don't fully know yet.

In terms of DE - I'm really looking for Gregg Williams to step up - If it's not him we need to see major strides from Lawson or Zaire Patterson.
Time to step up!

You know catchable balls. Our QB needs to be average to good in the spring game, above average at the start of the season, and outstanding by mid season.

All of the above and who steps in as a leader on the field. Cade is that guy on offense. I'd like to see Trotter or Carter be that guy

I want to see the offense attack the middle of the field
I want to see how we utilize the TEs
I want to see someone emerge as the clear #1 at LT
I want to see that 2nd and 3rd group at DE because depth behind XT and Mascoll is huge
I want to see that 2nd and 3rd group at LB because depth behind Carter and Trotter is huge

see one thing. That is, a passing game that is on time, on target, and CONSISTENTLY moving down the field to score touchdowns. We have just about forgotten what that looks like in Orange and White, over the last two years.

This is the most excited ive been to watch a spring game since trevors freshman year, obviously offense is going to be most peoples primary focus. I cant wait to just get a glimpse of what Riley has in store for us. Im hoping to see receivers making better effort this year than they have in the past few. Also excited to see Vizzina do his thing

All the Freshman. I'm excited to go and watch, only disappointment is wanting to see Collins and Randall in the mix at WR. We're going to be really young at WR out there for that one. O-Line vs the D-Line should be another interesting matchup
