Interesting coach and QB split. Can't wait to see the line split, RB, WR, and Defense split. Ought to be a really good spring game.

Having TL and HJ on one team with the same receivers will be a great chance to evaluate the two of them against the same defense. Wonder if that will be the team that Elliott and Scott will be calling plays for...

Dabo must like Speirs as a coach!

Speirs and Conn are a logical pair. They can both act as head coach for a side, have an even match up and free up Dabo to be wherever he wants/ needs to be during the scrimmage.

The part I love is Venebles coaching both ways. He ain't turning his defense over to NOBODY! I also think that it's probably the best endorsement I've seen that he isn't planning on going anywhere. There are sins of backup plans for everyone else. There are NO signs of backup plans for BV.

BV is making close to 2 mil a year, and one or more of his kids is going to be playing for us. This is a relatively low-cost area in which to live. Why in the world would he want to go to a high-risk HC coaching position anywhere, and risk what he's got here? He is a defensive genius, and has a great venue in which to practice his specialty at a top program. He's getting top recruits. Why in the world would he want to leave this situation?? Clemson, wisely, is paying him top dollar, and will continue to do so. Anyone looked at our new facilities lately?? And Dabo to "Bama?? Forget it, my friends. We are on equal terms with them, and that is only going to change in our favor. You don't agree? Post it.

I think TL should take the first snap of the game.

You just better hope that Jake “the flop” Bentley can take his last snaps of the game. He hasn’t done that yet in Death Valley.

I agree, but it isn't going to happen. Touchy feely.

Did coach promise Jamie Harper the first carry?

Asking for a friend.

Most concerned with which play-callers the QBs are assigned. Kind of hope Streeter gets Hunter and Trevor and kills it. Nice to shake up the status quo from time to time.

I know I'm asking for it. But I think the split is to curve some of the Bryant is not as good as Lawerence/Johnson talk. With it like this all you get is if guy x had this play or that play called he would have been more successful. It's really smart! Everyone has an opinion on it but the truth is it doesn't matter. At least not at the moment. I'm excited to see the game but I am chomping at the bit for this season to get started!

Garrett Williams

Apr 12, 2018, 5:51 AM

If you ever watched his HS film, he is an absolute freak. He was injured and stuck behind Leggett, but he is awesome. He will be playing on Sundays. He will be a valuable weapon with the right QB, whoever that is.

Absolutely right. Garrett is a total stud, and will, I think prove to be on of the best TE's to ever play at Clemson----and we've had some great ones. Think Leggett.
