For all we know he is gone. Dabo keeps his cards close to his chest. He doesn't expose them until it is absolutely necessary.

I thought turning a Top 4 programs defense over to Wes Goodwin, a guy whose never sniffed a meaningful role at any level of football , was a brilliant move

There is a difference between Wes knowing he is gone and us, the public, knowing that he is gone.
Plus Hood just said he is pretty confident based off what he knows that Wes is no longer affiliated with the program

It makes me wonder if Dabo has his eye on someone who is still alive in the playoffs so nothing would happen until that is over.

According to David Hood, he is gone. So, those sources were correct. Just because it hasn't been officially announced doesn't mean it isn't true.
