I finally agree with you about the basketball program!! Obviously, we are only supporting football like you said. Brownell would be gone if we were serious about being a basketball school!
I hope in my lifetime we can be relevant and be part of the madness and not the sadness

Been a Tiger fan for over 45 years. . We are the South Carolina of basketball. Always getting our hopes up then we play the real teams or Loyola of Chicago and reality is realized. Unlike what all these Brownell fans think about the dissenters, basketball was my first love March madness opening weekend was a holiday for me. I wouldn’t miss a game. However, after 13 years of this of settling for below average I lost the zeal. I blame Dabo. He showed that we can be relevant and dream big. We can win it all. I agree we should have made it but knowing Brownell , we would lose first round to a bad team by 20. Honestly, worried about losing in nIt

Agree. Back in the early days of Brad I went ti first round of NIT at our place. We were suppose to win easily but got blown out of gym

I know how hard that it is to stop supporting something that you love, but I think that it is up to the Clemson Basketball fan base to force the administration to make better choices when it comes to hiring a HC in basketball that can recruit well and is one of the top 10 basketball coaches in the college ranks. Let them know if they don't hire a program building HC for the Basketball program, that the basketball fan base can show them what Littlejohn looks like with about 80 to 90% empty seats on game day, especially with the televised games. I think they would get it, that the basketball fan base were tired of a mediocre basketball program!!! When is enough, enough!!!!

That’s your choice. Stay away. Those of us who enjoy basketball and support the program really don’t care what you think. So stop sniffing coke off the keyboard and back away. Just look at Clemson’s basketball history. There is very little. Only one coach in Clemson basketball history is above .500 in ACC play. Ok, then you want to talk about how crappy the ACC was this year. That’s not Brad Brownell’s fault. He is responsible for Clemson. And he is doing a helluva job. Like baseball, you lose games in basketball. Some you didn’t want to lose. Crap happens. You deal with and move on. No matter what you think of Brownell he is a fighter and he loves Clemson. Many of you Lunatic Fringe need to develop the same attitude.

that CBB is doing a "helluva job" is quite a stretch even with the most liberal of interpretations.
Just because Clemson's history in basketball hasn't been much to write home about, that absolutely doesn't mean expectations should be lowered. It seems to me this "lunatic fringe" you often reference are those who are content with inconsistency and mediocrity. After thirteen years, that's effectively all we've gotten under CBB.
Doing he same thing over and over again but expecting different results is the real definition of insanity. Lunatic fringe indeed.
Just because the "lunatic fringe" is content with inconsistency and mediocrity, doesn't men the rest of us have to be. Your lunatic fringe needs to develop the same attitude.

Just because our history in the sport isn’t great, and our funding for the program isn’t great, and our fan support isn’t great, and we are often up against programs who don’t have these significant disadvantages, we should still have high expectations for the program!
Why? Because our expectations aren’t based on anything other than our belief that Clemson should be competing for championships in every sport.

Facts!!!!! Their style of play inspired the students and fans to pack the gym. I think Brad needs to invest more on packing littlejohn and it starts with the students showing up for games. You do that with energy inside and outside the program

Ok. No one agrees with you. That is just plain stupid. I doubt you support Clemson Basketball. The point is we can and should be better. Do you not get tired of we’ve never been good so we can’t be good? That is absolute loser mentality. There is absolutely no reason we can’t get better. But Brad has managed to not do that for 13 years. Here’s to mediocrity and doing one helluva job getting us to the NIT Brad!

Cobbox is only interested in protecting his status. Mediocre basketball makes his it easy for him to remain entrenched in good seats and buys him access to the coach. A new, successful coach would endanger those perks. He’s a fan in the sense that he enjoys being around it but he couldn’t care less about the product on the floor.

Look 🤡 I never said:
1) I don’t support or watch Clemson Basketball. I live in Texas and cannot attend many games. I still watch and plan my day around Clemson sports
2). I never questioned Brads love for Clemson. If I could stay somewhere and be average and get paid millions of dollars.
3) I like Brad and appreciated his program from the stance of he appears to run a clean program and stays out of headlines
4) You must be a democrat. If someone doesn’t believe the same as you, you cut them down and talk over them because you think you are intellectually superior. Then you open your mouth and reveal that you are nothing but a blowhard fool
5). I apologize for calling you names and insulting you. I do get tired of the same diatribe of people who only now how to talk down to people. I am sorry your parents did not teach you better

I disagree. You obviously think we should fire Brownell after one of Clemson's best records in the ACC - and perhaps our best ACC record. Brownell deserves our support and appreciation.
