believing in Clemson basketball. This team is playing well and I want to fully buy in but I have seen this movie before. I don't want to get hurt again.

Until then I'll watch and be pleasantly, cautiously surprised.

Were we not like 17-18 and 0 under CBB in his early years, maybe with OP's team when CBB made the first NCAA? But ended like 5-10 or something close? I think it was when we got ranked and suddenly crashed. I think we had quarterfinals in ACC maybe but lost in our first NCAA game?
CBB while a good person, he is too dry, not enough emotion and plays a boring bball. That would be fine if we were top 5+ACC team annually but we are not and it stinks for the fans that don't get excited with our team. Add in the fact that you can't follow a players growth because they are new to team 9r transfer out. Chase Hunter and Tyson are not common among players under CBB in recent yrs. I guess 3yrs for Hall is uncommon.
I know ppl will say its the new age of college but we have to have some stability if we dont bring in 4-5* players every year.
I wish this team well of course?

Don't set your self up and just take it game by game. Take a look at this schedule (particularly the last 2 games) and you will see what finally got me to the point of never getting my hopes up under Brownell again.
Oh yeah....wrong board moran.

Go back and re-watch the USuCk game and temper that enthusiasm young man.
All kidding aside, I hope we win 20+ and go to the NCAA. This team might be Juan to do it.

Just enjoy it. I’ve been down that road too, where the early non-conference schedule goes great and we get all excited then once we get into conference play we disappear. For now at least, we can enjoy and still have hope.

You should believe, but keep in mind that it’s a long season.

Basketball season is full of ups and downs. It’s a microcosm of a basketball game. Within a game, teams go on runs. They can get hot but also have periods where they struggle.
We are likely to win some games we aren’t supposed to, but also lose some we shouldn’t. The casual fan will lament our “inconsistency,” but it isn’t unique to us. It’s just basketball.
On the whole, I believe we can have a good year. We need to stay healthy, and we need to play a little better on defense. And we need to keep making shots. We have some great pieces though. This team works hard and has good chemistry.

Counter point - it is unique to us. I’ve previously rebutted you with stats showing that Brad loses to sub-200 RPI teams at a higher rate than his P5 contemporaries and his predecessors at Clemson. He is uniquely inconsistent. But you put people who blow up your lies on ignore.

We also need to limit the unforced errors (e.g., turnovers)

We turned the ball over 13 times last night compared to Towson's 6.
If the team scores on just half of those, the game probably isn't nearly as close.

Perhaps you could simply be a fan and enjoy the season instead of worrying about the final outcome of something you can't control. Celebrate the thrill of victory and understand the agony of defeat only makes the victories sweeter. Seems we as fans have lost our way...

It’s a contract year for Brad so looks like he’s gonna do his best razzle dazzle. Just don’t expect anything to change over the long term.

This team has 3 strong players PJ, Chase and Tyson who can take over a game offensively. Been a long time that we've had 2 players that could do that.

I'd have to say 4 and add in hemmingway. He seems to be more consistent and more discipline with his selection. One thing I've noticed in the 10 games is the passing/assists are better than most years. Plus they're scoring points. Not your ugly 55-46 games.
That given, we won't know if the teams we've beaten are good teams or not so good teams. Less one, the usc loss was bad. But seems to be a one off. Enjoy the ride. But it'll be extremely disappointing if this team isn't top 6 acc and make a run in the big dance.

If Hemenway can catch and shoot he is deadly. If the other team stops that quick shot and makes him put the ball on the floor he is waaayy less effective off the dribble.

They tend to do well before the acc and then win under .500 of those games.

The ACC certainly doesn't look as strong this year so if we can stay in some games and keep winning down the wire, we might actually have a chance at a 20-win season this year.

I did it for years with Brownell but any love I ever had for basketball is dead. Another coach might resurrect that spirit but I'm not going to let BB beat this dead horse again.

Representatives of the Bricklayers Union of Amurica, from Treyland, and reality will come crashing back. Teams that live by the trey, die by the trey. We need more inside game from PJ Hall established EVERY game, then those treys will be relatively uncontested.

They are not bad so far. Other than the embarrassing loss to a horrible SC team, they have played ok.
But, according to JK, we should be great and make the final 4 - because Brownell takes lots of players from the portal and unless you do this, you are slipping and a bad coach. At least that’s what he says about Dabo.
