I'm asking because I don't know. Why does Clemson say no to accepting JUCO transfers?
I for one don't like the one year and done bc Clemson is a family atmosphere and the teammates love one another. I like the fact that our players are here 3 to 4 years, not just 1 to 2. But is there a reason Dabo says no to JUCO?

Seems to me that the staff has this program in a place in recruiting where it is not having to plug holes in the depth chart with JUCOs.

When Leadership has a system in place, that's sometimes out of the norm, people don't buy into it. A JUCO transfer wouldn't have enough time to buy into Coach Swinney's system and furthermore it shows the coaching staffs loyalty to promote within. Go Tigers!

Actually Dabo is not against JUCO he has been working with DRad to increase the ability to accept JUCO transfers. Clemsons current curriculum makes it difficult to accept certain credits from JC so it is easier for the staff to avoid it. Now I will agree the staff does a great job of recruiting to not leave holes but I think you may see a few in the future. This will also help basketball and baseball.

Preferred walk ons are usually better students an can develop at clemson within the system. I think it trumps JUCO most of the time. I think in the right situation they would select one.

I transferred from a JUCO school into Clemson....

Lost 21 hours when I transferred in.
The only reason I was eligible was that I took 15-18 hours each semester my first 2 years, didn't drop or fail any classes and took another 4 classes over 2 summers. Otherwise, there was no way I was going to meet the hours requirement (progress towards degree) mandated by the NCAA.
It was an uphill battle the whole way after losing all those hours. I had to take 3 summer classes after my junior year, another 3 summer school classes after my senior year and it took all of 5 years.
