Field Report from Target

Visited Target at lunch to pick up a few things. Was taken aback by the number of scurrying employees in red shirts moving displays around. Haha, no kidding.
Upon a brief inspection of the children's wear area, I can report that there was plenty of LGBTQ+IA hate going on. Why? Because I didn't see 'I wanna be gay' onsies and 'it's okay to be queer' books sitting out on display.
And, this is the difference between rationale people and the sheep corrupted by the lefty progressives. 'You people' are just dying to put your transphobe or homophobe label on me so you can hate me without a guilty conscious.
Not wanting toddlers and elementary school kids exposed to people with gender dysphoria is normal, rationale, and completely acceptable. If you don't agree, you are the one with the problem.
And, on the way out, with a 100% straight face, I asked the lone cashier "I wanted to pick up some LGBTQ+IA gear, but didn't see any" and she said "there used to be some right over there, maybe they moved it."

Yeah, that's effing stupid.
So then you believe it is okay to quiz a first grader on gender and suggest they consider gender fluidity?
Come on, Mr. Parent-of-the-year, what say you?

So you do believe it is okay to tell your first grader they can consider other genders. Figures.

I had a good friend who was good friends with a psychiatrist, and their coversation, over a few beers, went something like this:
Friend: "I'm worried about my son; I feel like I'm losing my influence on him." Doc: "How old is your son?" Friend: "13". Doc: "13? What makes you think you have any influence over him at this point?" Friend: "What do you mean?" Doc: "From the time your kids start school, your influence starts to dimminish. From that point on they are bombarded with societal and cultural influences from outside the home, and by the time they are teenagers, you have very little, if any influence at all; your job is pretty much done in that regard. They are part of something much bigger by then."
I have zero problem with schools teaching all kids to be kind and respectful to all people, even if they are different; perhaps emphasizing that those people sometimes need kindness the most. I think schools should teach, expect, and enforce that. I think they cross a line when they start teaching it to prepubescent kids in the context of sexual relationships, especially if they do so against the wishes of parents.

adolescence, and then on their 13th birthday that influence evaporates entirely. The point is, that the outside influences start early, and even at a very young age, it's normal for school, friends, and popular culture to have tremendous influence over children, and that is not an indication of bad parenting; it's normal.

My beef is again with people who intentionally climb up the cross for the sake of being heard about how mad they are. And, given that this comes from the usual suspects, I believe there is a fine enough line to draw between genuine concern, and concern as a vehicle for narcissistic demonstrations; and I don't buy the "rallying the troops" angle, as that's just a part of the show and not the true aim. People have grown addicted to being angry, and this is just another reason to feed the beast even though in reality it's merely a repackaged version of the same fight had in the 90s, except now we have a few new players.
To be fair, it's not just the Right. The Left has made an enormous, stupid, and devastating miscalculation that has set back alternative lifestyle acceptance by lightyears.

On a forum like this, I fully expect it, and I even do it myself sometimes. Granted, it's not the way proper, formal debates are handled, but I don't see this place like that at all, and I'm fine with people ranting and getting things off of their chest in here. No response is required, and anything can easily be ignored.
Now, having said all of that, with seemingly thousands of 24/7 news outlets and social media, we have indeed become addicted to anger and outrage, and that's not good. And again the message needs to be that we should be kind and respectful to everybody who is not trying to hurt us; and to be clear, everybody who disagrees with us or is "different" is not trying to hurt us. "Right" and "left" should not be a factor.

You guys seem to gain some satisfaction in believing 'we' are triggered by almost everything. When I think of triggered I think of the daily examples of left wing nut cases losing their wits over some trivial matter, yelling and screaming, sobbing, etc.
Again, this is the classic lefty playbook - you take what 'you' are doing and point the finger at others telling them they are doing it.
I'm not triggered by any of this chit, but I love seeing the power of the silent majority coming into play making these woke marketing departments rethink who they believe their market is.
I represent 'normal' as defined by a mathematical description of a normal distribution of usa demographics. I don't hate people on the fringes, but I do hate people who pretend the fringes are in the middle, and if you don't believe that you are XYZ-a-phobic.
Ain't nobody got time for dat.

1. You started one thread upset about material Target is selling that no one will ever force you to buy or own. You can easily turn a blind eye to it. That means you're triggered.
2. You then go to Target to make a point to investigate this issue and drop a sad joke to the cashier, then rush here to post about it. Again, this triggers you.
How exactly does this stuff Target is selling affect YOU (don't mention anything about children... just you)?

Dude, I have a sense of humor. Relax a bit.
Target is literally across the street. I walk there all the time, and I went today to get lunch. I did not make a special trip there to do a TNet report.
SMH.
You guys just live on another planet. You know what you think and that's the only way it goes. Not that it matters, but I don't care what Target sells, but I am interested in watching society's reaction to what they have done.
Why do you make such a big deal out of everything? You have to judge people every second of your life.

Its funny watching left wing kooks throw rocks at conservatives for making an attempt to do the same thing they've been effectively doing for years, which is to bully companies into doing what they want and making their life #### if the companies don't comply. I mean, why do you think every company is knee deep in things like this pride stuff or DEI? Its to appease the left and stay off of their hit list. You really think Target puts this garbage on display for any reason other than to virtue signal to the left that they "love the gays so please don't attack us"? If you believe otherwise you are naive. Trying to cancel anyone who doesn't kiss their ### is a cornerstone of the entire modern left, yet when some folks decide to not drink an already crappy beer to send a message the left acts like its never seen such a ridiculous thing. Meanwhile various leftist groups still have active boycotts on dozens of businesses and even entire industries at any given time. I personally know leftists who will never eat Chik Fil A again and I'm sure they are considered heroes by the same self loathing imbeciles who can't stand whats happening with Bud Light, and potentially Target. Talk about a complete lack of self awareness.
