I got a feeling a few of you are about to bend yourselves into a pretzel and say something like
"well see it's complicated bc Dabo has his philosophy BUT he lets the OC call the plays sometimes as long as it fits inside his philosophy and if it doesn't then Dabo will ###### the waffle house menu and call the game himself"
You guys are funny as heck 🤣

Cade. He was calling his own plays. That is why a lot of things worked…

Some calls are obviously dabo. Like that play where everyone stands still and we run a throwback screen.

That play was mind boggling in that spot. High school

But when old plays we've run for years before riley pop up and kill the momentum of the play calling, it's safe to assume dabo had a say in the call.
What's your point here?

I'm just speculating, I don't actually know. I like my theory: that dabo made that particular call. Riley has no attachment to that play, Cade was playing well. Why the gimmick?

So by your logic, dabo should call every play, because he's infallible 😂😆😂😆😂 😭😢😭😢 😆😆😆

I don’t know who called/came up with that play but part of the reason it didn’t come close to working was the players must have been embarrassed to run it.

I don't understand what you are talking about. The offense was the best we had. It doesn't matter about control but which ever, they or he did a good job.Get over it, we tried and lost, get in the Christmas Spirit.

Who was in control of the defense when we managed to get within 7 points again and promptly gave up a 80 yard touchdown?

Lots of vertical routes, clearouts for underneath crossers. Looked like mostly Riley. Williams TD and last failed 4th down were Riley's bread and butter plays with Davis and Johnson as WRs at TCU.

Riley until Dabo tells him i want xyz. This is not uncommon and not sure why it's a huge deal. Will say wasn't thrilled by the timeout and 2 back to back runs on the goal line but it's 1 freaking yard so I get it.
