Seemed like he was more worried about TL not getting down vs taking on contact bc he would hate to see him hurt his knee or get injured.

They didnt cry about Lawrence running for TD's due to the scoring. They didnt want him to take a hit and get hurt right there. The scoring was always a given. There was no problem with that.

Umm yeah they did. They are talking about sports and as you know the kne dude played. Yes, they were talking about not getting hurt. As a matter of fact, the one guy said when TL scored that goes to show why he should be careful, because he would score anyway without being hurt or riaking an ACL. I think you must new to college football, because this is just basic football talk. Stud QB's avoiding big hits when not needed. Football 101 talk. I didnt mind the play, but there is no conspiracy to get Clemson. It was just basic football talk.

by running him when it isn’t absolutely necessary. Doing so against Wofford when we are up 42 points is certainly not necessary.

This narrative is getting frustrating. QBs are much safer just taking a hit and fighting for the extra yards the way football is played in the 21st century. QBs are injured taking hits in the pocket or while trying to slide. The new rule that was supposed to “protect” sliding players by spotting the ball where the player initiated the slide has been a total failure, since the officials refuse to throw a flag for contact after that point. A slide is just a free headshot for a defensive player the way the game is currently officiated.
