I guess there should be no surprise that a charter member of the LF has already decided the outcome of next season without knowing next season’s roster. Classic

Im interested to see how this one plays out. Pretty good pick ups post season. It will be interesting to see if Chase returns.

He should seize the opportunity to bow out on a high note because the blowback next season will make Tommy Bowden losing to Wake Forest look like Tommy Bowden beating Tennessee.
omg you are pathetic. you can not even congratulate the team on a good win tonight. you are obsessed with something totally out of your control.

Which happens about every three or four years, which is why he’s been here 14 years. If he wants to silence the doubters, he needs to win something. When the ACC tournament that would be good. Or make a very deep run in the NCAA tournament. Because we all see what’s coming the next two or three years.

Two years in a row being among the best teams in our conference.

We’ve won 20+ games two years in a row.
We are going dancing this year with a high seed.
Sports success is all about what you’ve done lately. We are very good lately.
Some of our supposed fans here need to recognize and acknowledge this, rather than continuing their tired tropes about “the last 14 years.”

The football program is one of two programs for 10 years that have at least 9 or more games with Alabama. Why didn't you ever confradulate that?

What do my thoughts on Clemson football have to do with Clemson basketball?

Zero.
But since you asked, winning at least 9 games 10 years in a row is a great accomplishment. Unfortunately, we’ve been on a decline the last three years.

And refund several millions of dollars of unearned salary.
It's funny how "what have you done lately" wasn't the standard after losing in the first round of the NIT as a #1 seed. I guess it just depends on what happens and the arguments are twisted to justify keeping Brad no matter what. That's always the most important thing.

If this team doesn’t make it to the sweet 16 he still should he fired. I feel like this is a top 20 team talent wise. To me his M O is underachieving. If he makes the sweet 16 he should be retained and hope he can replace seniors with some good portal players.

Coach Brownell will at least get a two year extension with not much difference in the buyout.
That will be mainly for recruiting and good recognition for effort. He might be one more straight 20 win season amd another NCAAT away from getting a lifetime contract. Might be hard looking at all who is leaving after this season. Depends on who they bring in the portal.

Clemson makes noise in ACC and then NCAA tournaments. You have to cash in on those, these kids want to play and they want to play for championships. At least that is what they used to want.
Either way, losing some big scorers that will be tough to replace.

Our 2024 class is ranked #22 nationally by 247Sports. We signed a point guard, a combo guard, and a power forward. All three players are top 150 nationally.
We also have Asa Thomas, one of the top players from Chicago last year, who will be a redshirt freshman next season. He is in the Hunter Tyson mold.
We will also have Jake Heidbreder, who will be a redshirt junior next year. He averaged 15 points per game for Air Force in 2022-2023, and is an excellent shooter.
Hemenway will also likely be back next year.

Post season portal pick ups look good. Decent recruiting class coming in.
Probably the only huge disappointment, outside of the final game, would be the loss of Godfrey.
Would have been nice not to lose (badly) in the ACC tourney to the 11 seed, but that lends itself to opportunities for this team to pursue moving forward. Pretty sure those opportunities have been noted.
Regardless, the team responded well to the adversity with the late season run. I’m hopeful we have the components to be successful next year too.

Foster has many attributes that Godfrey did not have..

although I hated we lost Godfrey. Foster is just as big, with proven starting experience with 7 2 inch reach. With stats much better than Godfrey, although Godfrey has the potential to be really good, but his stats are way lower than Foster's 12plus points and 8 plus rebounds per game. He also performed his best against best competition. He can play 3 different positions. And if the big Russian does not step up I seen Foster starting at Center, also if Wiggins does not step up, I could see Foster play alot there. Germans but Foster can get plenty of playing time at each of those positions - a flexibility Godfrey did not provide.

Great analysis! Thank you! I feel we are positioned well. Even some of BBs biggest critics on here have on rare occasion given him credit for portal use. The late pick ups were huge.
