Get so worked up about this. But if we just had an orange purple and white version of everything we would just murder any other uniform combos out there. The helmets need to have some alternates. Same style. Same stripes and paw. Just a purple and white version

You want to change something the day of the biggest game in 34 years?
His entire time at Clemson Deshauan has thrown it to people in orange helmets. When he is under pressure with a 6'4" guy in his face scrambling I want everything to be the same for him as it always is. So that when he makes his reads every single thing is exactly as it was for every other game.
Besides this the helmet is a staple. It's an icon, it never needs to change.

Maybe it doesn't who knows, but I know this... I'm not changing a thing that has worked all season. Especially not something our QB has to see downfield making a split second decision. There's no need to find out if it makes an impact.
When you look back at this SI cover in 30 years you are going to see the same thing Perry Tuttle was wearing on his cover.

There are two very simple, hard, and fast rules when it come's to Clemson's helmets.
Rule 1 - Never, ever, under any circumstances, mess with the helmets.
Rule 2 - Never, ever, under any circumstances, forget Rule No. 1
