Honestly, what does he do? Didn’t we hear that Hunter (Johnson) called Dabo. So one of the few transfers we’ve ever taken reached out to us.
Meanwhile we went after a few offensive line players but got no where with them. So… that brings me back to the question. Honestly, what does he do?

The best guys on the field for Carolina Saturday came off this list. Juice Wells and Nate Adkins played well against us.
Dabo needs to get involved with the transfer portal whether he likes it or not. USC is going to be #4 tonight in the playoff poll with a team made up of a lot of transfers. And in case you have not paid attention, FSU is making a living in the portal and they seem to be turning a corner. They just beat a Florida team that punked Carolina. Clemson would be a destination for a lot of good transfers if Dabo would open the door and give it an honest effort.
We need to be using the portal to fill areas of need. We would not have been able to fix our QB problem through the portal. However, we have a receiver room filled with guys that for whatever reason cannot catch passes. This team would have been better with a few 3* transfers that could actually catch a pass at crucial moments. We have 4 and 5* receivers but I would take Wake Forrest's room filled with 2 and 3* guys.
Definitely could have used some safety and DB help this year. Maybe some O-linemen as well. We started Blake Miller this season and it hurt us in many games. His name got called out several times for all the wrong reasons Saturday. My bet is he will be a good player for the Tigers over the course of his career, but he was not ready this year. I would rather have filled that void with a solid 3* with a few years of experience.
We need help right now to fix our receiving corp and we need defensive ends for next season. If we are being honest, we might need a QB and Cade McNamara from Michigan just entered the portal. Lost his starting job this year, but beat Ohio State and won the Big 10 last year. At least worth a conversation because there is something keeping Klubnik off the field at this point.
I hate that college football has changed as much as it has the last few years. I hate NIL and I hate the transfer portal. But I hate losing more especially to Carolina and their transfers. Time to adapt and change and accept the fact that the transfer portal is here to stay.

Off the top of his head, I doubt he could name 3 players on the list.

Here’s how those teams did…
1) USC (11-1 beat ND) 2) Ole Miss (8-4 lost to Miss State) 3) LSU (9-3 lost to Texas A&M) 4) Alabama (10-2 beat Auburn) 5) Texas (8-4 beat Baylor) 6) Oklahoma (6-6 lost to Texas Tech) 7) Nebraska (4-8 beat Iowa) 8) South Carolina (8-4 beat Clemson) 9) UCLA (9-3 beat Cal) 10) Miami (5-7 lost to Pitt)

I’m not against the portal, and there is good that can come from it, but it’s not what some who don’t do their research think it is.

most wil read that at face value and not put any thought into it.
You have to remember
USC, LSU, Oklahoma went through coaching changes which prompted a lot of their transfers

If DJ is not the reason we lost the game and it is receivers (not totally untrue) then why not get him some and show us.

What’s concerning is that a lot of these teams are trending up this year.

This list is what it is. People can say all the teams with transfers are trending up, but tied for last is the number one team in the country. We have 1 commit. I am sure when the opportunity arises, Dabo will fill a need when needed. In the long term, this is going to come back to haunt teams. We dont turn the ball over 3 times and actually have someone not name Streeter call plays, we win. Run the dang ball is all we had to do. Pretty simple.

You either adapt to the times or die. Pretty clear that Danny Pearman is nothing more than deadweight.
