So, Is This The Kind Of Game The Committee Preferred?

A nice, easy, ridiculous blowout? I'd imagine only Georgia fans are really interested in seeing the rest. Shouldn't the sponsors be concerned if the rest of the country simply doesn't care at this point?

Perhaps, but they should have given Georgia a better opponent. Mizzou/Georgia, even Notre Dame/Georgia would have been more compelling. This game is simply trash.

The Orange Bowl is obligated to invite the highest-ranked ACC team that didn't make the playoff, and the highest-ranked team from the SEC, Big Ten, or Notre Dame that didn't make the playoff or win their conference, so they didn't really have much choice.

Which just goes to show that all of the locked in obligatory selections is a joke, just like so much of the rest of college football.

Also, if FSU had made it to the playoff, we would not have seen all of the opt outs. I think FSU would have given any of the other three teams a decent game, even without their starting qb.

This. They might not have won, but they would have kept it close. Their defense was elite with their starters.

I'm glad these two bozo commentators have to sit through it after the way they beat the drum during the entire ACCCG about the SEC not getting left out of the playoff.

Committee logic should've put FSU much lower than 5

If you are ranking their ability going forward, they are closer to 10. How does #1 UGA fall below FSU to #6? I only ask for consistent logic.

I am enjoying it. Hopefully they can put up another 42. It was a joke that anyone thought FSU belongs in the playoff with their QB situation.
