So Iran is saying they will have a proportionate response to our attack?

What do we think happens if they follow through?

Supposedly, intermediaries had relayed threats of terrorism if we bombed Iran. That's beyond ridiculous. Iran could very well carry out terror attacks through sleeper cells, but no way they would (1) threaten to do so, or (2) even take credit after the fact. That story is either propaganda from our own government or planted intel from the Mossad. They think we are all as stupid as the typical Trumper.

It will be interesting to see what their response is though, since they promised a proportionate response.

They have the potential to do a lot of damage, even militarily. Enough to embarrass us sorely, but not enough capacity to maintain it. The Houthis stepped back after they cost us two fighter jets because of the potential response if they embarrassed us more.

Not really, currently they have no air defense, few aircraft and are afraid to use a phone.
Best they can attempt is to close the Straight, not likely as our Navy will be monitoring that closely from Bahrain. Plus the Saudis can reroute oil to the Red Sea, Houthi’s will get flattened if they start up again. Now if they attack the Abqauiq hub in Saudi Arabia that does change things a lot. As all oil flows to and from that location, bet the Saudi Air Force is at high alert, also backed up by US assets. There are a whole lot of missal batteries along the coast to protect from that Iranian threat.
They could fire at US positions in the ME but that would just invite an overwhelming response. Bear in mind we have not hit any real military or civilian populations, a war is only inevitable if Iran chooses to hit US military or conducts terrorist attacks. Just my opinion of course.

I'm not to going be explicit about it, but think hard about what capability they still have and what they could do with it. There are widespread myths about the defensive posture of some our assets.

Well, since DJT announced a cease fire between Israel and Iran I guess the point it moot. Seems Iran did not want to play with the big dog after all. Those invisible B-2 bombers supported by invisible F-22/35's displayed all they needed to show to display what screwing around gets them FAFAO i guess.

The proportional response was a launch of a handful of ballistic missiles after telling us when and where they were aimed. If that is proportional, I guess the mountain really was empty.
We got to use the bunker busters for the first time, though. They were invented as a way to justify the B2 after the original mission of carrying a nuke to Moscow was obsoleted.

We used them for the most amazing military operation of all time. Nobody has ever done it better. Nobody could do it. It worked so well that not only do the Iranians no longer have potential of nukes or how to ever make them again, but some say they will be learning to invent the wheel again first. Problem solved.
