So Im gonna level w yall

I left that insurance job about 6 weeks ago. Boss man brought me in for a training sesh and said “I know you hate it here and what do you really want to do” I told him I’d like to Teach Social Studies and I’ve been getting my ducks in a row for that. He said how about 2 weeks severance and I’ll write you a glowing letter of recommendation for teaching? Plus I could do unemployment bc I was laid off and not fired.

So I of course agreed and that was it. Then wife got the VP position so I was just making sure the house was clean and dinner was made, I lay the wood a few times a week. A real house wife of Gville. It’s a pretty good gig.

Now I’ve been working w the old man to tear down a 50 year old shed in God’s Country, so we can replace it will a metal one. $25 a hour and he can only do about 4 hours bc he is an old man, which is fine w me. Plus I get to listen to Panic the whole time and take breaks whenever. I even get fed lunch!

Had an interview Saturday for teaching history at a middle school. Went really well and I’m just hoping that works out. The Saga of JGB. T’s and P’s

For one the shed was full of tractor equipment and other shiat we had to move. Then you have to take off all the metal from the boards which takes a sledge even after the tractor. Have to remove the telephone pole posts w the tractor. Have to burn all of this wood and take the metal to the metal place, he is getting about as much as he is paying me for 4 hours for the metal load.

Now we have to move that giant FN pile of wood, so we are putting it on pallets and wrapping w industrial plastic.

Trust me, I propositioned that we just cave it all in and set it on fire, then pick out the metal after, but he can’t lose his precious wood. Also he is an old man and wants to save everything… earlier there was a 4 foot piece of old hose he said he would save in case he needed to drain a HVAC unit away from a house or some shiat like that.

I’m like, Dad… you are 72, what are we saving this stuff for anymore?
