that the portal is overrated?

...Or do we admit that player evaluations for high schoolers (DJU) are overrated?

I'm not sure how we're supposed to spin this.

The truth as I see it is that DJU obviously practices very well and has the tools that lead coaches to think he can be good to great. On paper he's a good fit for this FSU team (paper meaning looking at the intangibles and practice stats), but in real life he just doesn't have the poise and ability to lead a team at this level to prolonged success.

It's no shame on him, very very few people do have that ability.

This is just recruiting miss #2 on him.

I'm going to guess there is no chance DJU is the starter by the time we play them

They were full of portal players last year. Unbelievable how bad their D is. This game isn't all on DJ. Both games the oline has been crap.

I can see that game going overtime in a 3-3 tie. I'm not worried about FSU right now, App State scares the crap out of me with Cade running our offense.
