I don't think anyone is stating that Dabo is practicing to

lose.
There's a different in the physical preparation of players and the mental preparation of players and I what I see people saying, and some what agree with, is that at this moment Dabo is giving off a mental vibe of "We're glad to be here whether we win or lose" and this rubs off on the players.
No matter how you view dabo, dumper or pumper, our players should never be prepared for a game with this mentality.

Problem is Dabo is soft when it comes to practice time. How can your players hit hard when they can barely touch players in practice. I love Dabo as a HC and recruiter but hate it when it comes to physical play. He won't let the animal out of some of his players and it shows in games with physical guys. Such as our offense against physical corners and DBs. In hindsight if our Offense comes out firing and never slows down we win. Not worried at all about Georgia, too much offense for them.

And you know that how? Are you there in practices? Just wondering.
I know those who are in practices and they will tell you that it is very physical, so I guess it depends on who you listen to.

So the question turns to...why doesn't it show up on the field against teams who have an equal amount of talent as we do?

Let's see we played only two ranked teams this year….

and between playing those two ranked teams, we didn't play a single team anywhere close to the top 25. Basically, we had two months off. I think it has more to do with the AD and Prez Barker not getting us out of the ACC vs. some conspiracy theory about practice.

We can both agree on the conferences thing.
And I don't buy into any sort of "conspiracy theory" FWIW.
But like I said in my other post...if you want to make BCS bowls and be a MNC contender, having "two months off" is a pretty weak excuse for not being able to handle the only two ball teams you face.
In fact, I would argue that having two months off is an advantage in terms of 1) fewer injuries and 2) more time to mentally prepare.
Just my opinion. I'm using the "practice" talk to discuss the greater issue.
I just don't think we're that physical. And I think the only way to address it is in practice. And...if the shoe fits...

It's called "watch the team play."
You don't have to be at a single practice to know something we're doing to prepare for the big boys (i.e. FSU and South Carolina) aint working. For whatever reason, we punked in the 2nd half after we take a lead with big plays.
We outrun inferior teams. When it comes time to put on our britches and man up in the 2nd half, we get beat.
How do you explain that? If it aint preparation, what is it? I'm not being facetious. I want to hear your reasoning behind it. Because you've said before that it's not recruiting.

You're missing the point totally, the original OP poster….

is acting like he is out at every practice, when he is not. If we don't practice the right way, provide some proof of it. Don't just make some conspiracy theory up and run with it.
Also, have you considered we were a very young team this year. Maybe the reason, we played terrible in the 2nd half against SCU was because between the FSU and SCU game we didn't play a single team that was anywhere close to the top 25. And we just had it too easy for about a 2 month period without being challenged. Sorry but it's not any coaches or players fault that the ACC was so terrible this year. I will go with the complete lack of competition between FSU and SCU, as to our performance against SCU; over some conspiracy theory about practice.
If you're going to make a point about our football team, back it up with facts that are available to you. Don't go around claiming that we practice "soft", when you aren't even at the practices. What sounds more reasonable, our lack of competition for a 2 month period, or some conspiracy theory about practice?

The only facts I have that are available to me are on the field. And I see a team that is unable to outmuscle teams when we can't outrun them.
Also, we are young, but we're not "very" young. We had a couple of sophomores on the D-line, but for the most part, were pretty experienced on D. Case in point --- how do you explain some of our worse players being seniors and GSs? We are young. But no younger than many other teams. Remember...teams in general are "younger" these days due to NFL departures.
Anyway. I get what you're saying about the practice. And we can make excuses about whatever lack of competition we had for 2 months...but that's things you have to live with on the football field. Elite programs don't fall flat just because they don't play great teams week in and week out. When we get the chance to prove ourselves, we have to do it. Bottom line.
I don't care if they go to Chuck E. Cheese to practice if the results show on the field.

Your veiw on this is skewed by your opinion of Dabo. Perhaps mine is as well. However I have not heard him say anything that would suggest what is being bantered about here all Tigernet. What I heard is that He is happy that they are playing in the bowl and they have the opportunity for extra practices. The extra practices are important for not only this bowl game but also for next year. When you go to a bowl on New Years eve you get an extra month of practice. I personally do not understand the dislike for Dabo and I think He has done an awsome job. I know 4 in a row it stinks for sure but I still think There is much more good at Clemson than bad. I also know how short of time 5 years is and He is still early in the process. The next 20 years will be Great for Tiger fans!
