no “crystal balls” on 247. He has played things very close to the vest.
I think he still has Clemson in strong contention.
His family moved to SC from Oregon just six years ago, so they have no particularly strong traditional affinity for in-state schools.
But, Monroe has seen Clemson produce pretty effectively on the field during his formative years and I would not be surprised if his reticence for picking a program to this point might just have something to do with his feeling that Clemson might be home when all is said and done.
Wishful thinking? Maybe ...
We’ll see.

My daughter goes to high school with him. He wears mostly Clemson gear to school. But, that does not mean a lot. We are in contention to land him.

It would be great to add Freeling and Anderson to this OL class! You can never have too many big nasties up front. We only took 2 OL last cycle so I imagine we need at least 4 or 5 OL this cycle. Let’s see if Austion can close out this class with 2 really good instate OLineman.

He’s visited Clemson more than any of his top schools…
ON3 projects him to Clemson (albeit a relatively slight margin)….
Certainly not a lock to Clemson, but I wouldn’t say we’re out of it either…
The momentum we have in recruiting helps too …top recruits want to play with other top recruits (obviously)…
