While Pete may be a better pbp guy, at least with Don one would be able to tune into the broadcast and know that the pbp is from Clemson's perspective.

one would never receive an accurate description of any on field events. Munson can not keep up with the game and he makes an enormous number of mistakes.

He is an awful play by play guy. If you listen to any baseball broadcasts, you will see that he makes a ton of mistakes, and he tries to be funny and cute, which is extremely annoying. I think even Mahony is embarrased to work with him.

ball/strike count. Not always, but a couple times a game. Like, a two strike count is 2-0. Inexcusable. Even little league announcers never make this mistake.

I don't think anyone is disputing he is a good guy. Coach label is a joke, and the thing he is supposed to be good at he's not good at. Just not good to listen to, I thought Pete Yannity and Will Merritt were good. Munson is not good at pbp for baseball, don't think a sport change will change that

Um, U-u-h-h, Tigers coach, u-h-h-m, Dabo, u-u-h, Swinney, has his Tigers on a, u-u-um, winning streak of, um-m (you get my drift). If he could clean this up a bit it would help worlds.

much less offer any critique. From what I've heard he's likeable and gets the info across. Seems that he has a lot of haters and/or detractors though, so I thought there must be some terrible thing he'd done or something more to the story other than people just didn't think he was that good of an announcer.

Nope, just bc he's not good at the one thing he should be good at, calling a game. And he thinks he's tremendous at it, Coach Munson likes Coach Munson a whole lot

Football support is around 70% of his responsibility.
He does way more than just baseball play by play.
He is not arrogant as suggested in another comment.
He does what he's asked to do and in the Spring abd that has involved a lot of baseball games this Spring;
But he is a great support to the Athletic Dept. and to football particularly
