OP won’t let the facts get in the way of a good narrative. You are correct, Baylor has /had 0 on their roster after the entire team bailed. They recently won a natty. Maybe they need to fire Scott Drew?

It feels like the longer this thing goes, the harder it is going to be to get the sort of players capable of replacing all the offensive output lost to graduation/portal.
I'm just glad CBB is only in year 1 of his new contract. He has plenty of runway to work with.

I would say we will not be able to play with any of those guys this coming season. Will Brownell ever take us to a championship? Wished he could but my belief you will never see Brownell and championship together.

lol things are not on track man, we have failed to land any of the guards we really needed. We have no proven scorer from the guard spots . You will not be good at the college level without good guard play .

We are bringing back a quality PG. We have one guard from the portal. We have 2 highly regarded freshman as well. We need some more, but you act like we have nothing.

You would be very annoyed if you were an nc state fan coached by fan favorite Will Wade.
He basically has nobody coming back and he has only received 1 commit other than 2 mcneese st players. They have missed on several recruits. They only have 1 person over 6'8 currently on their team and the rest are guards.

It doesn't matter much. College basketball has been eviscerated by the Portal combined with Pay-For-Play. Not really worth even investing much time or energy.

He is very athletic and has potential. He had a couple of nice games and made some really acrobatic shots. He also played with a lot of energy. I was excited to see what he could do for us with more development.
However, in reality he is a guy who never started, played about 12 minutes per game, shot poorly from the field, and averaged under 4 points per game. He is undersized and played out of control at times.
I say these things not to be critical, or to suggest that I didn’t want him, but to inject some reality into the situation. Some people here are acting like he was the second coming of Michael Jordan and losing him sets our program back years.
If he were such a future star, we likely wouldn’t have seen him end up at Radford. It would have been nice to keep him, but I believe we can get a better player in the portal.

Yep. He showed some great flashes early on, and he made a big difference for the Tigers in winning some of those regular season conference games. But unfortunately, he had a dismal postseason. I still think he has a ton of potential, and I certainly wish we still had him. But I would've rather had him back next year in a similar role to what he played this past season: as a bench option. After watching what happened down the stretch, I don't think he's a guy you can trust yet to be your starting shooting guard. I imagine the staff probably had a similar view on the situation, and that may be a big part of the reason why Del left. It's unfortunate, but if that is indeed what happened, I still think the staff made the right call.
