Should The Citadel FB Team "Allow" Daniel Rodriguez 2 Score?
Nov 21, 2013, 1:06 PM
|
|
Saying..if The Citadel is behind (way behind), wouldn't it be a great military gesture and/or honor on their part to allow/let "RoD" score his 1st collegiate TD?!
What say you?

I don't think you let him score. Get the OL fired up and fire those sunsuvbeeches off the ball and let DRod run in right behind them.

and to DR to "let" him score. I can't imagine that DR would want them to "let" him score - that wouldn't mean anything then. I would think he'd want to earn it.
Do you feel good when somebody "lets" you beat them at something?

the privilege to participate. He does not take up a scholly, he has earned his spot on special teams, he goes 110%. Remember when he got tangled up earlier with one guy, and when he went off-side against GT trying to get to the punter? The offside was a penalty of agression. The other was D-Rod was protecting his teammate. Cannot fault him for either, nor his passion to play. I'm sure he'd love to run a streak route and take it away from a taller player in the EZ for 6. If he saw someone back off, I'm sure he'd run right at them and make them make a play.

NO. Keep him out of the endzone at all cost and that goes for Boyd, Watkins, Bryant, Hopper, McDowell etc etc. I get it and I am very thankful for his service to the country and what he has done.
This is football. I want to win. Nothing is given, it is earned. I think Daniel would want it that way.
