I'd love to see Nikki and Tim Scott team up during this Presidential run by supporting each other, and declare that whichever one wins the other will be their VP selection.

They'll rarely, if ever, do something like that. They'll each want a VP candidate from another state to help secure another state's votes in the election.

minus Trump. DeSantis, Haley, possibly Tim Scott and Kristi Noem. Lots of good new blood out there. Maybe we can get a POTUS that's under the age of 60 for a change! And one who has a solid mind!
I thought she did a great job as governor and served really well in the UN, but her flip-flops and lack of consistency in her relationship with Trump could hurt her with some. I think many of us flip-flopped with him - liked him a lot at first, got more hesitant as time went on, like what he was doing legislatively but disliked what he was saying and doing otherwise, and then outright disliking him after the election and he kept going on and on about the same things that weren't getting any traction except with a hardcore few who were going to be with him no matter what.
I think she has a very strong leadership style and could do very well - young, attractive, minority, female. I hope she has a good campaign manager because she's going to need one. That's a huge part of what wins elections. Not that many people know that much about her, and they'll have to get that message out in their own terms w/o letting the media and opposition re-characterize her.

Party wants to survive as a serious political entity, they MUST nominate someone, ANYONE, other than Donald Trump as their Presidential candidate in 2024. Him as nominee would just be gifting another election to the Democrats.

I suspect Haley, Desantis, Scott, etc. are going to end up splitting all of the non-Trump Republican votes though and we are going to end up with Trump vs. Biden again. Hopefully a front runner emerges quickly and the others drop out so that there can be a real challenge for the Republican nomination.

I think people who were pro pro Trump in 2020 have noticed that he is not gonna win in 2024 so they will push for Desantis. I think even Desantis has split up Trump guys now as he's more effective and better at not looking like an ###.

Cruz is the smartest one in the bunch and should be leading the Senate. 2024 should be a landslide for the GOP, but per usual they will find a way to screw it up! 🙄 And I think at this point, we all have Trump fatigue.
I just hope whoever gets nominated they just don’t lack the courage and backbone to stick to their principles and push for constitutionalist justices and Justice dept overhauls, promote deregulation that makes sense (cut red tape and duplicity), push real tax reform, make huge spending cuts (including defense), wean us off the administrative state and SS. Committ to strong antitrust enforcement, shun globalism that wants to dictate to America.
Stay out of foreign wars and reduce our troops abroad. Let Europe defend Europe. Let Asia defen Asia. Let the Middle East defend the Middle East. Push to make all of North America and Central America an extension of America and become energy independent. Drill baby drill! Pipeline baby pipeline! Refine baby refine!
Last but not least, make sure health insurance is affordable and the healthcare system is not rigged or an oligopoly/monopoly. Everyone should have basic healthcare security available to them if they are poor or struggling financially. Kind of like food and shelter.
A person cn dream can’t they? 🤷♂️

I mean Trump > whoever is running the country now. China is bullying us right now. People forget how hard Trump was on them. They had one of the worst years financially (before covid) in their history under Trump. He didn’t play. But may the best woman or man win. 🙏

Interesting that she mentioned China's genocide when we have the largest prison population in the world. We have 5% of the global population but 25% of the worlds prisoners.
Interesting that she mentioned the Iranian govt killing people who protested the govt yet we spent all of 2020 doing that same thing. We also have more unarmed people killed by police than anywhere else in the world.
Interesting that she mentioned the baby being thrown in the fire when we have the highest infant and maternal mortality rate during child birth of any first world country.
Do people just not know what is going on around us in the US? Head in the sand much?

What an astute observation!
Let me ask you this - how do those actual facts about America make you feel about the country?
There is no reason to paint it in some glossy image like they aren't horrible.
Also, doesn't mean I hate America because I point out glaring issues with how the nation is operating.

It’s the fact that so many Americans think this country is so perfect that our elected officials can be corrupt and run our country off of legalized bribery.
If people let their decency show them how awful some laws are that harm their fellow Americans, are they good Americans for turning their cheeks? When compassion is lost, so is love.

Exactly. America is a great country. No denying that. She was right in saying that "the worst day in America is better than most places"...but I think that's a low bar to set for expectations.
We have some very glairing issues in this country and the fact that so many people just don't care because it doesn't effect their day to day is very disappointing. Dare I say the opposite of Patriotism?

That's why we need a new leader that actually cares about what's best for the country... not what's best for them personally. Nikki Haley was active in our church in Lexington, SC for about 10 years before she became Ambassador to the United Nations under Trump. I know who she is.

Very well done. She is definitely polished and well spoken. It’s going to be an interesting election; but then again, I guess they all are.
The comment on the loss of the popular vote stat is of interest. Based on her mention of that (along with Harmeet Dhillon pushing the issue of countering dem vote harvesting during her run for RNC Chair against McDaniel), perhaps now the republicans have finally realized you have to fight fire with fire.
Now all eyes are on DeSantis, eh?
Also, noting your ‘VP comment’ - IMHO: I see Haley as a VP to either Trump or DeSantis, with a legitimate chance at a Presidential bid after a VP stint.
It will be interesting to see how the next decade or two turns out. I’m really hoping for a good, say, twenty years. That’ll put me very close, or in a grave, and I’m hoping it won’t worry me as much, then! 😉

Yay another career politician who will sell BS to get elected then nothing will change. Will never understand how these people get propped up like they are some kind of saints put here to do great things. They’re all just ordinary people who look down at us struggle while their banking accounts explode. Our lives get worse and theirs gets better that’ll never change.

Just another grifter. She couldn't even file taxes on time or pay taxes correctly for her parent's business. But maybe that was intentional. Not to mention enhancing (lying) her resume for a high paying position with Lex Medical Center. Then didn't even show up there. Most of ya'll are either too young or weren't paying attention at the time. God help us. But if ya'll want to contribute to her tax free foundation go for it. I demanded to be removed from her grifter mailing list years ago. Peace....Out!

I don’t elect my presidents to be my moral compass. I elect them to be strong leaders that will stand up for our Country and solidify our constitutional liberties and freedoms.
Just take a look at Ben Carson. He was and is a great person. However he didn’t have the gall to go toe to toe with Trump. I personally would have thought him to be a great president but just couldn’t put his morals aside to get dirty enough to fight.

telling all the sheep what they wanted to hear. Just like any other politician, that would be different things, depending on the crowd he was speaking to at the time.

I wish Nikki good fortune. I certainly would vote for her for president. However I believe the primary will quickly come down to Trump and DeSantis. Between those two my vote would be for DeSantis. Nikki VP

And I would be fine with that. I just want a candidate who has a chance to win. Trump has lost too many people in his own party to even have a chance in an election. DeSantis may be a fine candidate... we'll just wait and see how it goes.

Does not have a chance on the national scene - Plus she quit her role on the United Nations and did she complete her last term as Governor of South Carolina?
