He and his staff are doing an amazing job with this program with limited talent in the first year. Can't wait to see what they do as they continue to build the roster. Hard to state just how big of a turnaround this is from the mess they inherited.

Too bad we did not retain the 5* young lady and lost that other great player, along with Robinson. I forget their names and no disrespect, but Poppie could have used that talent but is doing great.

Eh. Needed a complete reboot to get rid of the culture in place. They will get the talent.

Would have been nice to see Ruby Whitehorn continue playing for the Tigers...She and Loyal McQueen would have been a nice see on the court at the same time

Speaking of Ruby Whitehorn she and her Tennessee Vols are playing on ESPN at Texas.Did not even know where she had gone to,I had forgotten all about her when she did not want to stick it out and stay with the Tigers

I forgot her name and the 5* decommit. That 5* probably would have helped Poppie more next year but still had a chance for great bench points.

Nah, the 5* was top 15 and would have been a day 1 starter. She was very mature. Probably would have been bench on sec team.
We did need a change but it wasn't culture issue. We looked so bad half the year because of so many injuries. It completely disrupted the team. Not saying it wasn't issues because stress causes that. I kinda got the feeling that Neff wanted his own hire in there. There was zero support. I still think Amanda needed to be given one more year with support but... that door is shut.
Just glad to see it finally getting the support it deserves.

Well I was an Amanda fan but I think Poppie is the next level. I see more desire and spunk in this team that doesn't give up. Under Amanda, we won big or lost big, now we can feel like we have a chance entire game. I think we are going to have to fight an SEC Team to keep Poppie soon.

She's crushing it with Tennessee. She's the reason they hung with Texas and only lost by 4. Ruby shot 75% and had 21 points. She's a good kid. The reason most of the team left was the love they had for butler.
The team loved Amanda... probably too much. Unfortunately Amanda didn't get the support that poppie is getting. It was pretty bad and Neff had some big donors that for whatever reason got in his ear and wanted a male coach, brought up the whole Davis thing etc.
I don't expect many on here to understand unless you're female. Especially a female in the conservative south. But, sadly it's real. Changing, but still real. But I'm happy for Ruby. She's happy too. The self induced pressure she put on herself here hurt her game. She's shooting 50% this year. Just FYI Horry. Thought you might want to know.
Fantastic gutty win by our Tigers tonight. We tried to stink it up and literally throw it away but in the end, we turned up the heat when it matters.

The players may have loved her. I can't argue that. But it was clear they weren't well-coached, disciplined or prepared. And that's the job of a coach. Anyone who has ever watched basketball could see that with all the sloppy play and turnovers.

Imari Berry.
She ended up at Louisville. She's avg about 4-5 point per game this year and has played in all but 1 game for them.

Support? You mean people and students are actually showing up in the seats because it hasn't looked that way to me at least in the very FEW games we have gotten on TV. Hmmm. Interesting, All the ACC shows is Notre Dame and one of the NC schools in women's basketball.
